Macao Travel Trade presents Highlight Tours from 18 May For visitors’ profound experience of “tourism+” elements
To enrich travelers’ experience in Macao and extend their length of stay for greater spending in Macao, Macao’s travel trade will soon launch the Macao Highlight Tours tailored for visitor markets. Operating in small-sized groups, the Macao Highlight Tours allow visitors to experience Macao’s profound history, cultural landscape and “tourism+” projects, in turn stimulating the economy in local communities. The Macao Highlight Tours will open for applications from tomorrow (18 May).

From June to July, the Macao Orchestra, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will hold a series of 13 programmes entitled “SUMMER BRAVO!”, including large-scale concerts, community performances and various outreach activities. MPI Students Express Love and Care towards Elderly of the Community
In order to cultivate the caring spirit and establish positive values for students, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic Institute recently organised a series of activities of the Charitable Fellowship Programme, to visit Complexo de Serviços de Apoio ao Cidadão Sénior da Obra das Mães na Praia do Manduco (Elderly Nursing Home). The students met the elderly and interacted with them through games, spending a pleasant afternoon with the elderly in order to achieve a harmonised atmosphere between generations, express love and care towards the seniors and promote traditional virtues of filial piety. The MPI students also used the government’s epidemic prevention slogans as the basic blueprint and created an interactive game, spreading the message of respect and compliance with the epidemic measures.

Macao confirms 50th COVID-19 case, involving imported infection

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre has confirmed a new case of COVID-19, one involving imported infection. It concerns an asymptomatic patient assessed as being in a condition of relapse. It takes to 50 the tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Macao since the epidemic alert began in 2020.
