MGTO taps into Southeast Asia market at international travel fair in Indonesia
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the travel trade participated in ASTINDO Travel Fair 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia in the latter half of February where the Office set up a mega Macao Pavilion to showcase Macao’s kaleidoscope of “tourism +” experiences and spotlight the destination appeal for Indonesian and Southeast Asian visitors.

Cultural Affairs Bureau performs regular website maintenance on 27 February
In order to ensure the proper operation of its information technology system, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will perform regular maintenance on its website firewall from 7pm to 11pm on 27 February (Thursday). Therefore, the operation of several websites will be temporarily suspended, including the Cultural Affairs Bureau website and its sub-websites, the websites of the Cultural Heritage of Macao, the Macao World Heritage, the Macao Conservatory, the Archives of Macao, the Macao Museum of Art, the Macao Museum, the Macao Cultural Centre, the Macao Cultural and Creative Industries and the arts and cultural festivals, among others.

IAM to remove two withered trees in Guia Hill Municipal Park
The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) continues to carry out follow-up and treatment of the two ancient Candlenut Trees in Guia Hill Municipal Park. Despite the implementation of measures such as disease and pest prevention and control, fertilisation and use of medicines during the curing period, the ancient trees have not shown improvement in the growth conditions and have withered. To ensure public safety, the two withered trees will be removed early next month. During the works period, the public are advised to follow the on-site instructions and refrain from entering the enclosed areas to avoid accidents.
