Change of Office Hours of Post Offices

In line with our business development, Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that, with effect from 1st August 2020, the office hours of post offices willbe changed as below:

Distribution or transmission of pornographic videos and photos with minors is a serious crime
The Judiciary Police has recently been notified by INTERPOL that some individuals in Macau have been using social media platforms or communication software to transmit or distribute pornographic videos with minors. We are highly concerned and the designated division has immediately been assigned to investigate. The Judiciary Police has since cracked several cases related to pornographic materials with minors, and the people involved have been arrested and transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office. We shall continue cooperating with INTERPOL to prevent and combat crimes pertaining to child pornography.

Applications for the “5th Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums” of the Cultural Affairs Bureau open from 17 August
The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) is accepting applications for the “5th Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums” from 17 August until 30 September at 5:30pm and local music creators and producers are welcome to participate. This year’s Programme comprises two categories: the album category and the mini album category, with each selected album being granted a subsidy of up to MOP270,000 and MOP135,000 respectively, as well as professional advice from members of the jury. The subsidy will be given to a maximum of three and six beneficiaries for the album and mini album categories respectively.

MPI Holds Online Workshops of Quality Assurance on Teaching and Learning
Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) recently organised two online workshops of quality assurance on teaching and learning to strengthen the teachers’ understanding of higher education and quality assurance and to improve the teaching standards of the Institute continually. MPI invited Dr Erica Lau, Vice Principal, Po Leung Kuk Academy of Professional Education, and Dr Kan Kam Chan, Programme Coordinator of the Social Work Degree Programme of MPI to host the workshops. The workshops attracted more than 100 teachers to participate.

MGTO presents Barrier Free Access Guide to facilitate visits of people with special needs around the city
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) launched the Barrier Free Access Guide (the “Guide”) today (15 July) to provide barrier-free information of local tourist attractions. Individuals with special needs can consider the information when planning their visits. The Guide was designed to foster building of an inclusive local community in parallel with the Macao Special Administrative Region Government’s plan to optimize the city’s urban environment towards greater accessibility.
