Macao Public Library under the Cultural Affairs Bureau extends book loan period

In conjunction with the Macao SAR Government’s prevention and control measures of the pandemic, all cultural facilities under the Cultural Affairs Bureau are currently closed. The Macao Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau is extending the book loan period during the closure of the public libraries. Therefore the members of the public do not have to hasten to return the materials to the public libraries.


Macao public urged to pay close attention to early symptoms of COVID-19

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre issued a reminder to members of the public that the early stage of COVID-19 infection might involve symptoms that are similar to other respiratory diseases.


Demographic statistics for the 2nd quarter of 2021

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the total population as at end-June 2021 was 682,500, the same as in the previous quarter; female population (363,800) accounted for 53.3% of the total.


Mortgage loans statistics – June 2021

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, new approvals of residential mortgage loans (RMLs) and commercial real estate loans (CRELs) both increased in June 2021. With regard to the outstanding balances, both RMLs and CRELs witnessed increases.


“Stay, Dine and See Macao” local tours will be cancelled until 17 August

Owing to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with the Macao SAR Government’s latest work of the control and prevention against the pandemic, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced the cancellation of the local tours under the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project will be extended to 17 August.


CE thanks Central Government and China Media Group for authorising Macao to broadcast coverage of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

Coelho Amaral/ Horta E Costa” to “Edifício Nam Kwong”, bus no.19 at 20:52 on 1 August from “Est. Coelho Amaral/ Hospital Kiang Wu” to “Av. Da Longevidade/ Edf. Seng Yee”, and bus no.17 at 22:55 on 1 August from “Terminal das Portas do Cerco” to “Rua de D. Belchior Carneiro” temporary stop.


IPIM Organises Webinar to Facilitate Macao’s Development into a Sustainable MICE Destination

Two vehicles inspection centers of DSAT will be resumed on 9th August

The Transport Bureau has assessed that it will resume normal operation of the Motor Vehicles Inspection Center in Cotai and Motorcycle Inspection Centre (in the Macao peninsula) on Monday, 9th August, while other external services will remain suspended until further announcement.
