The Higher Education Bureau Resumes Basic Services for the Public

In compliance with the Macao SAR Government’s latest measures regarding the novel coronavirus epidemic prevention, the Higher Education Bureau (Address: 7th Fl., Long Cheng Building, No. 614A-640, Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues, Macao) will provide basic services for the public from 24 to 28 February 2020. The Centre of Higher Education Students (Address: Flat B, R/C, No. 68-B, Edf. Va Cheong, Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida, Macao) will remain closed until further notice. CCAC to remain basic services next week

The CCAC will remain basic services for the public between 24th and 28th February.


Special arrangement for services of CTT Macao on 22nd February 2020

Due to the development of the novel coronavirus, CTT Macao would like to inform that opening hour of the underneath Post Offices on 22nd February 2020, while the other Post Offices will be closed temporarily.


Credit card statistics –4th quarter 2019

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, the total number of personal credit cards issued by banks in Macao continued to rise in the fourth quarter of 2019. Both the credit card turnover and total repayments witnessed year-on-year growth.


Consumer price index (CPI) January 2020

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Composite CPI (103.52) for January 2020 increased by 2.98% year-on-year, up by 0.42 percentage points compared to December 2019 (+2.56%). The increment was attributable to higher charges for eating out and package tours, rising rentals for dwellings as well as dearer prices of fresh pork and gasoline.

Government launches channel on Telegram

The Government Information Bureau launched today its “Government News Channel” on the Telegram messaging platform, to offer the public an additional, easily-accessible route to the latest official news.


Mortgage loans statistics – December 2019

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, new approvals of residential mortgage loans (RMLs) decreased while those of commercial real estate loans (CRELs) increased in December 2019. With regard to the outstanding balances, RMLs increased whereas CRELs witnessed a decline.
