DSI online services will be suspended this Friday night

The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) will conduct system upgrade on 24th October (Friday) from 8 p.m., meanwhile, Electronic Identity and My Border Crossing services will operate as normal. However, other online services provided via DSI's official website, Macao One Account, and Business and Associations Platform will be suspended.

The “3x3 Greater Bay Area Tour 2025” Finals Macao, organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and StarMac Entertainment Production Limited, co-organized by the Macau-China Basketball Association, Chaiioi Sports Company Limited and Zhuixing Culture & Media (Zhuhai Hengqin) CompanyLimited, with venue sponsorship support from Wynn Resorts (Macau) Limited, held its opening ceremony at 5:00 p.m. today (23 October) at the Ruins of St. Paul's.

To seize the opportunities presented by the “debut economy”, the “Debut@Macao – Project Launch” was held during the 2nd China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Expo (Macao) (2nd C-PLPEX), the 30th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (30th MIF), and the Macao Franchise Expo 2025 (2025MFE) (together referred to as the “three exhibitions”), where over 40 debut products and technologies were unveiled, nearly half of which were technology-related. The inaugural overseas release ceremony for the Global Services Trade Development Index Report (2025) and the “Debut@Macao – Business Matching Session” also took place at the same venue, with over 60 matching meetings arranged.


UM joins higher education delegation to Brazil to promote internationalisation of education and explore cooperation in multiple areas

To strengthen Macao’s educational ties with Brazil and expand its cooperation network with federal universities, research institutions and innovation platforms in Brazil, the University of Macau (UM) joined a higher education delegation led by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) of the Macao SAR government to visit several universities and institutions in São Paulo, Brasília and Rio de Janeiro, injecting new impetus into the internationalisation of the university.


Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area High-Quality Talent Development Conference Held in Macao for the First Time Four-Day Event Showcases Talent Policies and Achievements Across the Three Regions

The third Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) High-Quality Talent Development Conference (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Conference’), jointly organised by the Talent Development Committee of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Labour and Welfare Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province, and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, is being held from 22 October for four consecutive days at the Cotai Expo, at the Venetian Macao. Under the theme ‘Look Beyond the Horizon, Embrace Diversity and Inclusiveness, and Forge Ahead with Resolve to Build an International Hub for High-Calibre Talent’, the government of the three regions aim to showcase the Greater Bay Area’s talent policies and achievements, as well as its developmental advantages and opportunities, with the goal of attracting top talent from around the world to gather and develop in the Bay Area, thereby advancing the construction of a high-quality talent hub in the Greater Bay Area.



“Style · Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade promotes the professionalisation of fashion design and related industries in Macao

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and co-ordinated by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), the “Style · Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making was held on 22 October at the Macao Fashion Festival 2025 at The Venetian Macao, showcasing the latest works from various local fashion brands.


UM postgraduate programmes now open for applications

The University of Macau (UM) is now accepting applications for its doctoral, master’s, and postgraduate certificate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year. Applicants can apply directly through UM’s official website. The application deadline is 13 March 2026.

The 2nd China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Expo (Macao) (2nd C-PLPEX), the 30th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (30th MIF), and the Macao Franchise Expo 2025 (2025MFE) officially kicked off today (22 October). High-profile Chinese and overseas enterprises, including Fortune Global 500 businesses like Huawei and AstraZeneca, as well as top technology and investment firms like China Unicom, Alibaba Cloud, and WI Harper Group, signed 13 partnership agreements on-site. These partnerships are set to pave the way for Macao to introduce key sectors such as big health, high & new tech, and investment funds, while building a pipeline of quality enterprises for Macao’s science and technology R&D industrial park, fostering industry clusters for upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors along the industry chain, and ultimately contributing to a more robust industrial ecosystem.
