CE meets Executive Director of APEC Secretariat

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, today met with the Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Secretariat, Mr Eduardo Pedrosa. They exchanged views on advancing the high-quality development of Macao’s tourism sector and enhancing cooperation with APEC member economies.





Macao Museum temporarily closed to the public

UM hosts symposium on biomedical sciences

The 12th Macau Symposium on Biomedical Sciences, organised by the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) of the University of Macau (UM), opened today (26). Held under the theme ‘Challenging’, the three-day symposium has brought together over 200 leading scholars, researchers, medical professionals, and faculty and students from around the world to explore opportunities and challenges in biomedical sciences, share the latest research findings and innovative technologies, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration and international exchange.



Stamp Day Marks Day One of “Macao 2026” as International Experts Unveil the Wonders of the Miniature World

On 26 June, the Macao 2026 Specialized World Stamp Exhibition officially commenced, kicking off the six-day philatelic extravaganza with “Stamp Day” as its opening theme. The first day brought together postal representatives and philatelic experts from around the world, guiding visitors through an immersive exploration of stamp production and design craftsmanship.


Giant pandas “Jian Jian” and “Kang Kang” celebrate their 10th birthday with the public offering their best wishes up close

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) held the 10th birthday celebration events for the giant pandas “Jian Jian” and “Kang Kang” today (26 June) in Seac Pai Van Park and several dozens of ten-year-old students were specially invited to join the birthday party with the guests. The keepers prepared a specially made ice birthday cake. The students sang the birthday song together for “Jian Jian” and “Kang Kang”, offering their heartfelt birthday wishes. The atmosphere at the venue was joyful and lively.


Macao 2026 Specialized World Stamp Exhibition Officially Opens Today Nearly 1,500 Frames of Rare Stamps on Display for Global Philatelic Community

The Macao 2026 Specialized World Stamp Exhibition (referred to as “MACAO 2026”), co-organized by the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) and Macau Philatelic Association, held its grand opening ceremony on the morning of 26 June at Cotai Expo Hall A, The Venetian Macao. The ceremony officially raised the curtain on this highly anticipated six-day (26 June to 1 July) international philatelic event. As the first-ever specialized world stamp exhibition hosted in Macao, the event not only showcases a spectacular lineup of rare philatelic items from around the globe but also uniquely coincides with the centenary of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP), making it a historic milestone of extraordinary significance.
