Thematic Pack “Macao 2018 – 35th Asian International Stamp Exhibition”

To commemorate the grand Asian international philatelic event, the “Macao 2018 35th Asian International Stamp Exhibition”, is organized for the very first time in the Macao SAR. In addition to the commemorative stamps, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will launch a thematic pack on 23rd September. This pack gathers with three sets of commemorative stamps for this event, it is not only convenient for philatelists to collect the whole series of stamps, but also a valuable souvenir for the collection.


New “Date Chop”

In order to conform with “Macao 2018 – 35th Asian International Stamp Exhibition”, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that from 21st September 2018 to 24th September 2018, CTT’s “Mailing and EMS” counter, located inside the stamp exhibition hall at The Venetian Macao Cotai Expo Hall A, will use a new “date chop” (shown below) for mailing the postal items.


Macao 2018 – 35th Asian International Stamp Exhibition Press Conference and Media Guided Tour

“Macao 2018 – 35th Asian International Stamp Exhibition” (hereinafter referred to as "Macao 2018") press conference was held on 20th September at the Venetian Macao Cotai Expo Hall A. After the press conference, Macao media visited different exhibition areas led by Lau Wai Meng, Director of Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau. CTT hoped to promote the development of Macao MICE Tourism and the inheritance of philatelic culture will be carried forward through “Macao 2018”.


Eight Postal Treasures Unveiled in Macao

Macao 2018 – 35th Asian International Stamp Exhibition kicked off in Macao on the 21st. During the guided tour, the director of Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau Lau Wai Meng has specifically introduced all the media eight postal treasures which were lent by China National Post and Postage Stamp Museum displayed at the Treasure Gallery. Consumer Report issue 301 features report on testing of impurities in 20 rice brands

The Consumer Council collaborates with the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) to test 20 rice samples for their contents of heavy metals and other impurities, the testing result is satisfactory, the testing report and a “Consumer Alert” are now published in the latest issue 301 Consumer Report, consumers may browse the contents on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo).


UM’s first MOOC to be launched on 26 Sept

The first massive open online course (MOOC) developed by the University of Macau (UM) will be launched on a MOOC platform on 26September. Titled ‘Creativity’, the free online course aims to help learners develop creative thinking skills through a combination of short lecture videos, multiple choice questions, online and offline communication, and interactive learning activities. The course is free. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Civil aviation chief interacts with tertiary education students to brief them on Macao’s aviation development and encourage them to start career with the industry according to their interests

The Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM) organized a career talk at the Macao Polytechnic Institute today afternoon (19 September) and presented an introduction of the Macao aviation development and its future prospect to tertiary education students. The President of the Authority shared the story of how he entered into the industry, his working experience and interesting encounters. He also encouraged the young people to grasp every opportunity to develop their career in the aviation sector according to their interests.


2018 PLPEX•Broader Exhibition Area, China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Platform at Full Blast

The 2018 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (2018 PLPEX) will be held from October 18th to 20th concurrently with the 23rd Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (23rd MIF) at the Venetian Macao. Based on the first experience of independent exhibition last year, 2018 PLPEX will expand the exhibition area to 6,000 square meters, and initiate activities like the "Brazil Unmanned Commodity Experience Zone (Brazil Center)" and "Portuguese-speaking Countries Wine and Food Business Matching." These activities will give full play to Macao’s role as a China-Portuguese-speaking Countries platform and develop the “new retail” co-operation model.


Consumer Council released its latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ on Sé Parish

Consumer Council conducted its latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ on 19 September for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 13 supermarkets in Sé Parish.
