Commemorative Envelope of“China 2024 Asian International Stamp Exhibition”
“China 2024 Asian International Stamp Exhibition” will be held in Shanghai, China from 29th November to 3rd December 2024. To commemorate this Exhibition, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the commemorative envelopes and provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service on site of the exhibition.

Tap Siac Craft Market in Autumn inaugurates next Thursday
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), the Tap Siac Craft Market in Autumn will be held from 14 to 17 and from 21 to 24 November, at Tap Siac Square. The opening ceremony will be held on 14 November (Thursday) at 6pm, featuring singer KIRI T as guest performer. All are welcome to participate in this cultural and creative feast of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

【Grand Prix month】 Macao Grand Prix Museum x resort enterprises present a series of themed activities to unleash glamour in “tourism + sports”

Under the management of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”) unveils a series of activities themed around the Macau Grand Prix in collaboration with integrated resort enterprises, in active support of the upcoming 71st Macau Grand Prix. Set to paint the motorsport month with more vibrant color, the series includes an exhibition of memorabilia from racing drivers, pit station challenge, release of a new book about go-karting history, display of a formula racing car made of chocolate, as well as sharing session of racing drivers and teams. The Government and resort enterprises join hands to manifest Macao’s glamorous “tourism + sports”, enrich the offerings of the world centre of tourism and leisure, and brighten the city’s golden calling card as an international metropolis.

[Focusing on Attracting Exhibition and Conference Events] An MICE Bidding Meeting Was Convened to Refine the Strategic Positioning for 2025 of Local MICE Sector
The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) held an “MICE Bidding and Support Team” meeting on 29 October 2024, the second one in this year, which was attended by the representatives from local MICE sector and six integrated tourism and leisure enterprises. The meeting aimed to facilitate discussions among members regarding the deployment of exhibition development strategies for 2025, to collaborate on securing more brand events next year, and to increase professional training programmes.

Macao Creative Pavilion participates in Cross-Strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair
The 15th Cross-Strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair (CCCIF) is held from 31 October to 3 November 2024. The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) of the Macao SAR Government has organised the participation of Macao’s cultural and creative entities in the CCCIF, in which it has set up the “Macao Creative Pavilion”, aiming to promote Macao’s brands and cultural and artistic products, showcasing the cultural connotation and creative achievements of Macao, and deepening regional exchanges between Fujian Province and Macao.

Nobel laureate gives talk at UM on sources and development of AI
The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of the University of Macau (UM) held the Nobel Laureate Lecture today (5 November), featuring Thomas Sargent, Nobel laureate in economic sciences. Prof Sargent gave a talk titled ‘Sources of Artificial Intelligence’ and talked about the sources and development of artificial intelligence (AI). The talk was sponsored by the University of Macau Development Foundation (UMDF). It was well attended by UM students and faculty, industry practitioners, prominent members of the community, as well as members of the public.
