UM presents academic prizes to outstanding graduating students
The University of Macau (UM) held the Academic Prize Presentation Ceremony 2025 today (21 May) to present 15 academic prizes to 49 graduating students in recognition of their outstanding academic performance in various disciplines. Throughout this academic year, the university has offered more than 60 scholarships and academic prizes with a total value over MOP 4 million, benefiting more than 400 students.

Visitor arrivals for April 2025
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that visitor arrivals increased by 18.9% year-on-year to 3,092,791 in April 2025. Same-day visitors (1,755,592) and overnight visitors (1,337,199) rose by 30.1% and 6.9% year-on-year respectively. Meanwhile, the average length of stay of visitors decreased by 0.1 day year-on-year to 1.1 days, due to the growth in the proportion of same-day visitors in the total number of visitors. The duration of stay for same-day visitors (0.2 day) and overnight visitors (2.3 days) both remained unchanged.

The "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area—Africa (Egypt) Economic and Trade Co-operation Conference" was held on 19 May in Cairo. The event was jointly organised by the People’s Government Guangdong Province, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. During the event, 30 co-operation agreements were signed between Greater Bay Area and African enterprises, covering various fields including home appliances, infrastructure, and logistics.
