2017 Macao International Museum Day Carnival opens in May revealing the fusion between museums and local festivities

In response to this year’s International Museum Day, 17 Macao museums co-organize a large-scale annual museum event, the “2017 Macao International Museum Day Carnival” themed “The Mobile Museum – Red MarketX Drunken Dragon Festival”. The opening ceremony will be held on 3 May, at 10:30am, at the Red Market (Mercado Municipal Almirante Lacerda). Representatives of cultural entities from Guangdong Province and of the Hong Kong Home Affairs Bureau and its respective museums were invited to participate in the ceremony. The general public is welcome to attend the ceremony.

Consumer Council conducts price survey on selling prices of fresh pork and vegetables from Zhuhai and Macao

For the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June, Consumer Council on 25 April collects prices of fresh pork from wet markets and supermarkets for consumers’ reference. The mentioned data collected during 19 April to 25 April are used for comparing the average selling price of the same products from Zhuhai. The relevant data has been uploaded to the Council’s website for consumers’ reference.


28th Macao Arts Festival opens on Friday exploring various possibilities of artistic spaces through diverse programmes

The 28thMacao Arts Festival (MAF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, kicks off this Friday, 28 April, with an opening ceremony to be held at 7:40pm in the lobby of the Macao Cultural Centre, open to the general public. This edition of the MAF presents 25 extraordinary shows and exhibitions as well as an outreach programme, in a total of over 100 activities, leading the audience to explore various possibilities of spaces by means of different art manifestations.


Commission plans 36 polling stations for Legislative Assembly Election

The Electoral Affairs Commission for the Legislative Assembly Election has a preliminary plan to install polling stations at 35 venues, one of the venues containing two polling stations, thus making available a total of 36 polling stations for 2017’s direct election process for the Legislative Assembly.

Government investigating cases of visitors with Legionnaires' disease

The Government is investigating the cases of three visitors who have tested positive in Hong Kong for Legionnaires’ disease, were on respective visits to Macao during the standard incubation period for their condition.
