Registration for Macao Orchestra’s first outdoor concert “Starry Symphony at the Lawn”featuring renowned trumpeter Chris Botti is open
The concert “Starry Symphony at the Lawn”, as part of the Macao Orchestra 2024-25 Concert Season, will be held on 16 November (Saturday) at 7:45pm, at the Macao Cultural Centre Plaza. Under the baton of the Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Macao Orchestra, Lio Kuokman, the Macao Orchestra will join hands with internationally renowned Grammy Award winner trumpeter, Chris Botti, to present an outdoor concert that combines pop classics and jazz. Admission is free. Tickets will be distributed through registration and random draw. Registration is open from today until 23 October, at 11:59pm, and each person can register for a maximum of two tickets.

Forum on review and prospects of ‘one country, two systems’ policy held at UM
In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR, the University of Macau (UM) and the Policy Research and Regional Development Bureau of the Macao SAR have jointly organised the ‘Forum on “One Country, Two Systems” with Macao Characteristics: Review and Prospects’. The forum has brought together prominent political figures, scholars, and experts to UM to review the successful implementation of the ‘one country, two systems’ policy in Macao and to explore the future development of the city.

Launching new postage paid postcards and postcard packs
Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue four new postage paid postcards with the images of A-Ma Cultural Village, Our Lady of Carmel Church, Taipa Houses and Pak Tai Temple. They will be available for sale at the General Post Office, all post offices and the Communications Museum Shop on 23rd October, 2024. The postage paid postcards priced at MOP10.00 each can be sent to every corner of the world without stamps.

Verified CE Election result published in MSAR Gazette

The verified result of the sixth-term Chief Executive Election was today published in the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Gazette. That was after the Court of Final Appeal verified the result and confirmed Mr Sam Hou Fai as the elected candidate.

[Elevating the effectiveness of business matching] “Procurement Orientated Matching Session” facilitates over 140 business matches
To achieve more effective discussions between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large corporations, the “Procurement Orientated Matching Session” of the 29th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (29th MIF) was held on 18 October. More than 150 purchasers, exhibitors, and suppliers of large enterprises from a number of integrated tourism and leisure enterprises, supermarkets, and catering companies participated in the activity, where 140 business matches were made and 9 procurement projects were signed, covering sky dining, food and beverage ingredients, clothing design and manufacturing, fragrance system, electric system and product retail.

MGTO receives visit from PATA Macau Chapter Student Club and shares experience in events organization
The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) received today (18 October) a visit from the members of the Student Club of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Macau Chapter. MGTO specially prepared an exchange workshop to provide an in-depth presentation about the scope of work of the Office and future opportunities for the students to collaborate in the development of tourism, to help train the next generation of professionals and contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.
