CE meets Governor of Guangdong to strengthen comprehensive cooperation

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, met with the Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr Wang Weizhong. The two officials exchanged views on topics such as continuously strengthening comprehensive Guangdong-Macao cooperation; and jointly advancing the high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.





2025 Macao International Parade Special traffic measures and instructions for the public

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), SJM Resorts, S.A., Sands China Ltd., MGM, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Wynn Resorts (Macau), S.A. and Melco Resorts & Entertainment, the “2025 Macao International Parade”, celebrating the 26th anniversary of Macao’s Return to the Motherland, will be held on 23 March (Sunday). In order to provide a more engaging and enjoyable experience for residents and tourists, IC will implement a series of traffic measures. Residents and tourists are advised to pay attention to the “instructions for the public”.



UM Career and Internship Fair to take place on 26 March

The University of Macau (UM) will hold the UM Career and Internship Fair 2025 on 26 March (Wednesday). More than 110 companies and organisations from various industries will set up recruitment booths at the university, offering over 3,000 job opportunities.


Survey on information technology usage in the household sector for 2024

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that there were 200,200 households with Internet access in 2024, accounting for 97.7% (205,000) of the total households in Macao, an increase of 0.4 percentage points year-on-year. The proportion of households accessing the Internet via mobile network (198,900), went up further by 0.6 percentage points to 99.4%.


SEF leads delegation to Europe to enhance international ties and seek cooperation opportunities

To deepen international cooperation and exchanges, and to strive to establish Macao as a platform for higher-level opening-up, the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr. Tai Kin Ip, recently led a Macao SAR Government delegation on a visit to Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and Monaco to further expand international connections and explore cooperation opportunities.


Consumer price index (CPI) for February 2025

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Composite CPI for February 2025 decreased by 0.16% year-on-year owing to the high comparison base resulting from increases in prices of some goods and services amid the Chinese New Year that fell in February last year. Besides, the Composite CPI for February this year fell by 0.19% month-on-month. For the 12 months ended February 2025, the average Composite CPI grew by 0.57% from the previous period (March 2023 - February 2024).
