UM Career and Internship Fair offers over 2,300 job opportunities

The University of Macau (UM) kicked off the UM Career and Internship Fair 2024 today (21 March). The fair, which will continue until 22 March, features more than 115 enterprises and organisations from various industries, offering over 2,300 job opportunities. The university has also organised a series of career guidance activities to help graduating students find jobs.

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), Municipal Affairs Bureau and Galaxy Entertainment Group jointly organize the “Behind the Scenes of Star Cuisine” Workshop Series to help industry professionals expand their professional knowledge of food safety, catering management and other related topics. UM professor Mak Pui In elected member of Academy of Sciences of Lisbon, Portugal

Mak Pui In, director of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, deputy director of the Institute of Microelectronics, and professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Macau (UM), has been elected as a foreign corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon (Academia das Ciências de Lisboa, ACL), Portugal. He is also the first foreign corresponding member of the academy who was born and educated in Macao. This honour not only recognises Mak’s outstanding achievements in scientific research, but also helps strengthen the academic cooperation between Macao and Portugal.
