【Dazzling Wonderland】 Light up Macao 2023 grandly begins and dazzles on festivities into the New Year

Unveiled by the opening ceremony at the Leisure Area of Waterfront Duet this evening (2 December), “Light up Macao 2023” comes into the limelight to take residents and visitors onto a dazzling journey in the wonderland across the city. Spanning almost three months and into the New Year, the iconic event is set to enrich the choice of nighttime entertainment and invigorate the community economy.


Ching-Ping Wong gives talk at UM on potential of polymers for electronic applications

The University of Macau (UM) held a Doctor honoris causa Lecture today (2 December). Ching-Ping Wong, honorary doctor of UM, gave a talk titled ‘Polymers and Nano Materials for Electronic Application’ to discuss the applications and potential of polymers and nanomaterials. The event attracted UM faculty members and students, local secondary school teachers and students, industry practitioners, as well as prominent members of the community.


UM graduates more than 1,500 postgraduate students  Ao Ieong U: UM has achieved remarkable results in its developments

The University of Macau (UM) today (2 December) held the Ceremony for the Conferment of Higher Degrees 2023. Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Ao Ieong U, acting as the representative of the chief executive of the Macao SAR and UM chancellor, said that UM has achieved remarkable results in various fields and its international reputation has continued to grow. This year, more than 1,500 students graduated from the university’s doctoral programmes, master’s degree programmes, and postgraduate certificate/diploma programmes.


UM confers honorary doctorates on five distinguished individuals

The University of Macau (UM) today (2 December) held the Ceremony for the Conferment of Honorary and Higher Degrees 2023. During the ceremony, the university conferred honorary doctorates on five distinguished individuals: Prof Cai Fang, Prof Leong Kam Weng, Prof Ching-Ping Wong, Prof Franco Maloberti, and Prof William Shiyuan Wang, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to society.





Festive atmosphere at the 2023 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon Carnival

The 2023 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon, jointly organized by the Sports Bureau, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), and the General Association of Athletics of Macau, is set to take place on 3 December (Sunday). To further immerse participants, residents and tourists in the joyful marathon atmosphere, the ‘2023 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon Carnival’ is being held at the Broadway Food Street of Broadway Macau™ on 2 and 3 December.
