Delegations of Portuguese-speaking countries arriving in Macao for Ministerial Meeting of Forum Macao

Delegations from the governments of Portuguese-speaking countries have begun arriving in Macao for the 6th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), the latter a body known as Forum Macao.

UM successfully incubates over 50 start-ups

To facilitate the commercialisation of research results and promote Macao’s economic diversification, the University of Macau (UM) supports youth in innovation and entrepreneurship on various fronts. The university has successfully incubated more than 50 start-ups, helping them establish a foothold in Macao and mainland China. These start-ups cover a wide range of fields, such as culture and creativity, environmental protection, new materials, information technology, medicine, and biotechnology.


Macao Orchestra presents the concert “Tribute to Rachmaninoff” next Saturday in collaboration with a Hungarian conductor and a French pianist

The Macao Orchestra’s presents the concert “Tribute to Rachmaninoff” on 27 April (Saturday), at 8pm, at the Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium. Hungarian conductor Gabor Kali, in collaboration with French pianist Marie-Ange Nguci, will present three of Rachmaninoff’s works that are rarely performed, offering music enthusiasts an exceptional Rachmaninoff evening. Tickets are now on sale at the Macau Ticketing Network.


IAM calls on the public to check their air-conditioners and prevent water dripping from affecting the environment

As the weather starts to get hot, some members of the public have already started using air-conditioners. The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) calls on the public to check the drain pipes before using the air-conditioners and ask professional air-conditioner technicians to perform checks and repairs as soon as possible if there is water dripping from them, so as to avoid affecting the hygiene of the public environment.


[Inviting 1+4 Professional MICE Events from Asia-Pacific Region] 14 Macao-Hengqin Companies Promote “Multi-venue Event” Pattern in Singapore

In order to attract more MICE organisers from the Asia-Pacific region to organise conventions and exhibitions in Macao and Hengqin, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin (the “Co-operation Zone”), have jointly organised fourteen (14) Macao-Hengqin companies to participate in the professional exhibition for the MICE industry in Singapore, “The Meetings Show Asia Pacific” from 17 to 18 April, in which a “Macao-Hengqin Pavilion” was set up and a “Macao-Hengqin MICE Promotion and Exchange Seminar” was arranged to introduce overseas event organisers and buyers to the unique advantages of “Macao-Hengqin MICE” in terms of hardware facilities, immigration measures, logistics and support services. During the two-day event, over 500 business matching sessions took place.
