MPU CEC's Macau Airworthiness Course is Now Accepting Registrations
To enable more interested individuals to deepen their understanding of professional aviation knowledge and to further promote the development of the aviation industry in Macao, the Centre for Continuing Education (CEC) of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) is offering the Macao Airworthiness Course. The course is accredited by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Enrolment is open from now until 23 May 2025 with limited spots available.

CCAC assisted Hong Kong with detection of case involving accounting enterprise group that helped Macao construction company to falsify accounts for listing application
The CCAC has assisted the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong with the detection of a case of alleged falsification of accounting reports by a Macao construction company in collusion with a Hong Kong accounting enterprise group in order to deceive the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) into approving its listing application.

Demographic statistics for the first quarter of 2025
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the total population of Macao at the end of the first quarter of 2025 (687,900) increased by 1,500 year-on-year, due to a rise in the number of non-resident workers living in Macao. As regards the gender distribution, the female population (369,600) exceeded the male population (318,300), accounting for 53.7% of the total.

IPIM Organises Macao Entrepreneurs to Participate in Portugal's Largest Food Expo and Launches Roadshow in Lisbon for the Second C-PLPEX
Macao Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) organised a 12-entrepreneur delegation to participate in the fourth “Sagal Expo Lisboa” in Portugal and conducted a roadshow showcasing Macao’s investment and business landscape and promoting the second China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Expo (Macao) (2nd C-PLPEX), which successfully drew participation of nearly 80 representatives from Portuguese commerce associations and enterprises. The delegation was arranged to maximise Macao’s distinctive advantage as the China-PSC platform and to utilise its role as a “Precise Connector” in facilitating collaboration between China and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs). The delegation also aimed to attract PSC enterprises to China and foster global expansion for local industries, enhancing practical and mutually beneficial co-operation among businesses in China and PSCs.

Cultural Affairs Bureau calls for exhibition proposals for the Collateral Exhibitions of “Art Macao”
The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym) calls for exhibition proposals for the Collateral Exhibitions of “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2025” (hereinafter referred to as “Art Macao 2025”). Local professionals and organisations engaged in contemporary art are welcome to participate in the biennale, jointly fostering the creation of contemporary art, building an open and inclusive international platform for artistic exchange, and highlighting the achievements of Macao’s art education and local creative force. The selected proposals will be included in the promotional campaign of “Art Macao 2025” to build synergy with other sections of the biennale, thus increasing the international visibility of local exhibitions.
