Macao University of Tourism holds Career Day with over 1,300 job vacancies and alumni career sharing session
Macao University of Tourism (UTM) held 2025 Career Day on 4 March at UTM Taipa Campus. A total of 65 organisations (including 3 from Guangdong and 2 from HongKong) from various sectors set booths and provided over 1,300 full-time and internship job vacancies with job details and employment information in Macao and the Greater Bay Area, as well as the latest trend in the job market to UTM graduating students. The Career Day aimed to provide a direct communication platform among students and employers, and to better prepare graduating students for successful job application later.

UM delegation visits several UK universities to promote cooperation
To deepen cooperation and exchanges with higher education institutions in English-speaking countries, Rui Martins, vice rector of the University of Macau (UM), led a delegation to visit several top universities in the Midlands and North West England. The aim of the visit is to promote cooperation in areas such as student and faculty exchanges, dual degree programmes, and joint research projects, as well as to explore potential cooperation across various disciplines.

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau Urges Citizens to Beware of Fraudulent SMS Messages

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau has recently received reports from citizens about receiving fraudulent text messages claiming to be from the Bureau, which are used to lure people into providing their credit card information under the guise of a lottery event. The Post and Telecommunications Bureau clarifies that it has not organized any lottery events and urges citizens to remain vigilant and always enhance their awareness of fraud prevention.

Results of survey on manpower needs and wages for the 4th quarter of 2024 – Gaming sector
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that there were 52,971 full-time employees in the Gaming Sector at the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, an increase of 1,200 (+2.3%) year-on-year. Among them, dealers totalled 23,618, up by 259 (+1.1%).

[Debut in the Middle East] IPIM Ventures into the Middle East Market for the First Time to Enhance Investment and MICE Promotion
The representatives of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) carried out investment and MICE promotion activities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from 24 to 28 February. This marked IPIM’s first foray in the Middle East to advance investment and MICE promotion efforts. In this trip, the delegation partook in two Middle East Market Tourism and MICE Destination Promotion and Networking Seminars (Promotion and Networking Seminars) organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).

Artistic echoes from Venice to Macao “Above Zobeide” opens on Friday in Macao
Organised by the Macao Museum of Art, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, “Above Zobeide – Art from Macao at the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia” will be inaugurated on 7 March at 6:30pm on the first floor of the Macao Museum of Art. Jointly created by young Macao artist Wong Weng Cheong and curator Chang Chan, who represented Macao, China at the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia in 2024, the exhibition will present outstanding works to the general public.
