UM, Fudan jointly offer programme to cultivate talent in culture and tourism in GBA

The University of Macau (UM) and Fudan University will launch the ‘UM-Fudan 2+2 (International Integrated Resort Management—Tourism Management) Programme’ in the 2025/2026 academic year. Students in the programme who meet the graduation requirements will receive bachelor’s degrees from both UM and Fudan, with qualifications widely recognised by authorities in Macao and Shanghai, as well as internationally. The programme aims to integrate the resources of both universities to produce top talent with a global perspective and practical skills for the tourism and leisure industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), thereby supporting the development of the cultural and tourism industry in the GBA.



Policy Address for the Fiscal Year 2025 – Optimising welfare measures to improve people’s livelihoods

The Policy Address for the Fiscal Year 2025 proposes that, taking into account Macao’s social and economic development situation, and adhering to the principle of prudent financial management, a number of tax incentives and social welfare measures will either be continued, updated or added this year. Such measures include: optimising the Wealth Partaking Scheme; increasing pensions, the old-age allowance, the ordinary and special disability gratuity, the marriage allowance, the birth allowance, and the healthcare vouchers; and a newly-added childcare allowance.



“Macao • Hengqin Craft Market” calls for stall operators

Jointly organised by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, the “Macao • Hengqin Craft Market” will be held from 12 to 15 June at the Hengqin Culture and Art Complex. Applications for the Macao handicraft stalls (excluding food and beverage stalls) will be open from 14 to 28 April and the application is free of charge.



Draw set for ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group

The ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, sanctioned by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), organized by the Sports Bureau, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and World Table Tennis Management Group Limited (WTMG), and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, will be held at Galaxy Arena from 14 to 20 April. The draw ceremony for the tournament was held today (13 April) by the organizers.



The Commissioner Against Corruption, Ao Ieong Seong, led a delegation to Beijing for exchange of building of integrity and the rule of law

Recently, the Commissioner Against Corruption, Ao Ieong Seong, has led a delegation of the CCAC to Beijing, where they visited a number of entities successively including the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the Supreme People’s Court, the Ministry of Public Security, the National Supervisory Commission and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate for exchange of the work of building of integrity and the rule of law.
