DSEC launches “Government Statistical Questionnaires” at “Macao One Account”

In line with the development of e-government services, the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) launchedthe “Government Statistical Questionnaires” service (hereinafter “the service”) at the “Macao One Account” today (28 December), providing the public with another secure and convenient way to respond to government surveys.





Cultural Affairs Bureau launches 2024 desk calendar to portray wonderful moments in cultural life

The year 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland. In this context, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) launched the 2024 desk calendar with the theme of “The days when culture is with us are like the splendid day we first met” to celebrate and record the wonderful moments in cultural life with Macao residents. The calendar features 12 scenes of Macao’s cultural life created by a Macao designer and a Macao illustrator with texts by local writers, demonstrating the integration of culture and life.


UM releases Macroeconomic Forecast for Macao 2024

The Centre for Macau Studies and the Department of Economics of the University of Macau (UM) have released the Macroeconomic Forecast for Macao 2024, according to which Macao’s economic growth in 2024 will be between 8.3% and 21.0%, growth in exports of services will be between 10.3% and 26.7%, and the final revenue of the Macao SAR Government will remain between approximately MOP 95.3 billion and MOP 109.6 billion.


UM journal South China Quarterly included in CSSCI

South China Quarterly (SCQ), an arts journal edited and published by the University of Macau (UM), has recently been included in the Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) (2023-2024), recognising its significance in academia.

MSAR Government donates 30 million to support earthquake relief in Gansu and Qinghai

The Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government has decided to allocate 30 million patacas as support for the earthquake-stricken areas in Gansu Province and Qinghai Province.


CE welcomes release by the Central Government of Hengqin development plan

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, today welcomed the Central Government’s release of the “Overall Development Plan for the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin” known as the “Hengqin Plan”, and the “Overall Development Plan for Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone” (“Qianhai Plan”).
