Macao Municipal Kennel to adjust office hours for public services starting from March
The Macao Municipal Kennel will adjust its office hours for public services starting from 1 March (Wednesday). The opening hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with registration hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., and clinic hours from Monday to Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The kennel is closed on weekends and public holidays.

Consumer price index (CPI) for January 2023
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Composite CPI for January 2023 (104.10) grew by 0.77% year-on-year. The increment was attributed to higher charges for eating out, rising wages of domestic helpers, increased tuition fees, as well as dearer prices of gasoline and vegetables; yet, the rise was partially offset by lower rentals for dwellings, reduced charges for telecommunications services and receding prices of liquefied petroleum gas. Among the various sections of goods and services, price indices of Education and Household Furnishings & Services rose by 10.07% and 7.45% year-on-year respectively, whereas the index of Communication dropped by 9.14%. The CPI-A (103.67) and CPI-B (104.68) saw respective growth of 0.49% and 1.13% year-on-year.

Employment survey for November 2022 – January 2023
With the relaxation of border measures and a number of events taking place prior to the Lunar New Year, the demand for local manpower increased. Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the general unemployment rate (3.4%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (4.3%) for November 2022 - January 2023 decreased by 0.1 and 0.2 percentage points respectively from the previous period (October - December 2022). Besides, the underemployment rate dropped by 0.7 percentage points to 3.2%.

CE to visit Hong Kong on Saturday
The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, will on Saturday lead a delegation from the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government to the Hong Kong SAR (HKSAR), to meet with HKSAR Chief Executive, Mr John Lee Ka-chiu, to exchange views on how to strengthen cooperation between the two SARs.
