As of 15:00 today (5 November), 622,589 samples have been collected from the second round of Citywide NAT, of which 539,618 have come back negative Unsampled citizens are urged to book and get tested as soon as possible

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre indicates that the present round of Citywide NAT programme has begun at 07:00 yesterday (4 November). As of 15:00 today (5 November), a total of 622,589 samples have been collected, of which 539,618 have been tested and all are negative.

The “China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival” kicks off and presents outstanding films from China and Portuguese-speaking countries with the theme “All Rivers Flow to the Sea”
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym) and supported by the Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the “China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival” will be held from 4 to 18 November, during which 30 films from China and Portuguese-speaking countries will be screened. The screening of the opening film Hero was held recently (4 Nov) at the Galaxy Cinema of Galaxy MacauTM, and was attended by the President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Leong Wai Man; Member of the Cultural Consultative Committee, Choi Ian Sin; Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Relations, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Christina Sin; the Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Cheong Lai San, and the Acting Head of the Department for Promoting Cultural and Creative Industries of IC, Chong Siu Pang, among others. Before the opening screening, the organiser arranged for a musical performance to kick off the Film Festival.

As of 15:00, a total of 249,888 samples have been collected, of which 87,899 have been tested and come back negative. Apart from this, from 00:00 to 15:00 today (4 November), a total of 516,436 rapid antigen test results have been uploaded.

UM holds Second Macao Conference on Smart City Technologies
The Second Macao Conference on Smart City Technologies 2022, organised by the University of Macau (UM) State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC), with assistance from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Joint Laboratory for Smart Cities, was recently held online. The event attracted over 150 experts and scholars from China and abroad, who during the event had in-depth discussions on major strategies, cutting-edge theories, as well as key technologies and their practical applications across various disciplines to help create breakthroughs in smart city development. It is expected that the participants will further engage in industry-academic collaboration to promote the upgrading of smart technologies in urban environments and the industry in order to contribute to the ecosystem of innovation in the Greater Bay Area.
