Anti-epidemic measures imposed to the workplace of the imported case recorded this morning

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre received a report from the Zhuhai authorities last night (29 October) that one 43-year-old female Macao resident was found to have common activity track with a positive case in Zhuhai, at Shunda Express in Gongbei Port Underground Shopping Centre. The Health Bureau immediately arranged sampling and medical observation for the woman, who then tested positive in the early hours of today (30 October). She was sent to the Public Health Clinical Centre at Estrada do Alto de Coloane for further diagnosis and treatment. She tested negative in nucleic acid test on 24 October and 26 October, and was classified as an imported case according to epidemiological investigation.


Two more Macao residents tested positive for COVID-19, classified as import-related cases; Daily rapid antigen testing is required for all people in Macao from 30 October to 1 November

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that two more positive COVID-19 cases have been detected in Macao. The duo, both Macao resident aged 13 years old, are the sons of the positive case reported this morning (30 October). Both are junior 2 students of Ilha Verde Secondary School. They were listed as close contacts after their co-living mother had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Cultural Affairs Bureau cancels large-scale cultural and artistic activities today

In response to the evolution of the pandemic situation and in order to ensure the safety of the participants, the Cultural Affairs Bureau cancels the following large-scale cultural and artistic activities scheduled for today (30 October): the 25th Lusofonia Festival, the activities “Chinese and Portuguese Picture Book Fair” and wine tasting, integrated in the 4th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries”, the “Cultural Heritage Protection Law Promotion Festival 2022”, the Macao Chinese Orchestra Season Opening Concert 2022-23 “Impressions of the Taihang Mountains” and the charity session “Contemporary Meets Tradition”, integrated in the 34th Macao International Music Festival. Other arrangements will be announced in due course. The Cultural Affairs Bureau thanks members of the public for their understanding and cooperation.


Cancellation of Obstacle Challenge Macao and Super Kids Macao 2022

Due to changes to the pandemic, to ensure the safety of the participants, the Sports Bureau announces that Obstacle Challenge Macao and Super Kids Macao 2022, originally scheduled to be held today’s (30 October) afternoon, is now cancelled. Further arrangements will be announced in due course. The Organizers would like to thank the general public for their understanding and cooperation.

AACM extends gratitude to Central Government for approval of airport land reclamation and looks forward for a new chapter in aviation

The Macao SAR Government has received the official approval document from the Central Government for the land reclamation project for the airport expansion. The Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) extends sincere gratitude to the Central Government for rendering support on the sustainable development of Macao’s aviation and promises to continue to coordinate with all parties and monitor CAM-Macau International Airport Company Limited to execute the preparation for the project. The expansion of the airport will consolidate the position of Macao as a world tourism and leisure hub and diversify the economic market, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Macau International Airport in the Pearl River Delta Region.
