Government announces 2022 Decorations, Medals, and Certificates of Merit

The Government has today announced the list of Decorations, Medals, and Certificates of Merit awarded for 2022 by the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR). There are 26 recipients, either individuals or organisations, in recognition of respectively, achievement, outstanding contribution, and distinguished service.



Business climate survey on restaurants & similar establishments and retail trade for October 2022

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that receipts of the interviewed restaurants & similar establishments rose by 15.1% year-on-year in October 2022. All the interviewed restaurants & similar establishments registered a year-on-year growth in receipts, with Western Restaurants, Chinese Restaurants and Japanese & Korean Restaurants recording respective increases of 26.4%, 19.9% and 16.9%. In addition, sales of the interviewed retailers went up by 27.3% year-on-year in October. Sales of Watches, Clocks & Jewellery Retailers (+69.0%) showed a notable rise, and sales of Cosmetics & Sanitary Articles Retailers and Leather Goods Retailers grew by 38.4% and 38.2% respectively; meanwhile, only Supermarkets (-10.7%) recorded a sales decline.



5 more community outpatient clinics will be opened successively this week

In response to changes in the epidemic situation in Macao, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (the Response and Coordination Centre) continues to dynamically study and assess the locations of community outpatient clinics. It is hoped to facilitate residents to get medical treatment and balance their needs in daily life. Starting from 19 December (today), the former Escola Luso-Chinesa de Coloane will be used as a community outpatient clinic. Starting from 20 December (Tuesday), 3 more community outpatient clinics at the sites of the former Escola Primária Luso-Chinesa do Bairro Norte, Largo do Pagode do Bazar, Jardim de Luís de Camões will be put into operation. Starting from 21 December (Wednesday), the community outpatient clinic at Travessa Central da Praia Grande (near Grand Emperor Hotel) will be opened. In addition, the Response and Coordination Centre continues to expand the capacity of the community outpatient clinics in various districts. The consultation rooms in the community outpatient clinics in the Leisure Area in Rua da Pérola Oriental and Rotunda Do Estádio in Taipa will be increased to meet the needs of residents. Regarding the special bus lines to the community outpatient clinics, there will be more bus stops for passengers.


Celebrations to mark 23rd anniversary of the MSAR

The Government is holding a series of events tomorrow (20 December) enabling the people of Macao to celebrate with the authorities, the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR).




A new community outpatient clinic at the former Escola Luso-Chinesa de Coloane and bus line to there will be added next Monday (19 Dec) for facilitation of Coloane residents

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter called the Response and Coordination Center) stated that starting from 19 December (Monday), the former Escola Luso-Chinesa de Coloane will be used as a community outpatient clinic to facilitate outlying island residents to see a doctor.
