“Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2023”, themed “The Statistics of Fortune” showcases modern and contemporary masterpieces by over 200 active and representative artists from more than 20 countries and regions. The Cultural Affairs Bureau will launch “Art Tours” and “Children Tours” during Art Macao. Schools, community associations and social service institutions are welcome to register for these tours. Seats are limited and distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The 28^th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), hosted by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), will be staged at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao from 19 to 22 October. The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) of the University of Macau (UM) recently organised two sessions of the Health Sciences Summer Camp, which attracted nearly 70 students from 34 local secondary schools. With the theme of ‘Biological Detectives’, the summer camp provided students with an opportunity to explore the world of biomedical sciences as ‘detectives’ and learn about biomedical research techniques under the guidance of professors and students in the FHS.

The Judiciary Police (PJ) has uncovered phishing SMS messages with unidentified links from scammers impersonating Apple Inc. These fake messages claim that the recipients' Apple accounts have logged in from another location, and they have to click the embedded links to proceed with two-way verification.

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, new approvals of residential mortgage loans (RMLs) and commercial real estate loans (CRELs) both decreased month-on-month in June 2023. With regard to the outstanding balances, RMLs dropped whereas CRELs witnessed an increase when compared with the previous month.

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the total population as at end-June 2023 increased by 5,200 quarter-to-quarter to 678,800, mainly attributable to a rise in the number of non-resident workers living in Macao. Women outnumbered men, with the female population (361,900) accounting for 53.3% of the total population.

The project is part of the National Key Research and Development Programme in the fields of Internet of Things (IoT) and smart cities.
