UM holds opening ceremony for DBA and EMBA programmes

The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of the University of Macau (UM) held an opening ceremony for the 2023/2024 intake of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme and the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme. The two programmes have admitted more than 60 business elites from Macao and mainland China for the new academic year.


Members of UM and Peking University join exchange programme in Macao

A delegation of students and faculty from Yuanpei College of Peking University visited Cheng Yu Tung College (CYTC) of the University of Macau (UM). Members of the two colleges participated in a series of exchange activities under the theme of ‘A Historical and Cultural Journey to Macao’, including lectures, visits, and workshops. The activities aimed to promote exchanges and mutual understanding between members of both parties, enhance academic exchanges, and improve their understanding of Macao’s history and culture.


[Enhancing Co-operation] The First “Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development” Will Be Held on 14-15 September

Jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, the First “Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development” will be held in Macao on 14-15 September. Some 1,000 attendees from domestic and international political and business sectors are invited to join the conference, jointly building a platform for domestic and overseas business sectors to further develop the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), and carrying out win-win co-operation.




【Dazzling splendor】31st Macao International Fireworks Display Contest commences tonight (11 September)

Curtains were lifted upon the 31stMacao International Fireworks Display Contest (“the Contest”) tonight (11 September). Director of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, joined other guests to officiate the opening ceremony. The first two fireworks shows were presented by the fireworks companies from Australia and Switzerland, offering a splendid feast for the eyes of spectators. The iconic Fireworks Carnival and the new Fireworks Extravaganza markets also welcome the public on every fireworks evening, lighting up more bustling joy for the fireworks event at different locations while leading a greater flow of people into communities and generating new momentum for the community economy.
