Six integrated resorts join once again the event “Art Macao” presenting various influential exhibitions this summer
The mega international cultural and artistic event “Art Macao” returns this Summer, with the participation of the Government, enterprises, artists and the general public, jointly creating the cultural tourism brand of the “Macao International Art Biennale”. In particular, the six integrated resorts will participate in the event “Art Macao 2023” presenting various influential exhibitions and activities in a bid to jointly bring an immersive cultural atmosphere to the entire city as a gallery and an art garden.

“Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2023” (hereinafter referred as “Art Macao 2023”), the mega international cultural and artistic event of the city, will be held from July to October of this year. Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, the event is organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, co-organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited, MGM, Sands China Ltd., SJM RESORTS, LIMITED, and Wynn Macau, Limited, with the participation of various consulates general of different countries in Hong Kong and Macao and a list of higher education institutions from Mainland China and Macao. “Art Macao” creates a co-production model in which Government, enterprises, artists and the public are involved in the participation to shape a new local cultural tourism brand, so as to develop Macao into a dazzling international platform for artistic exchanges and promote the development of “culture +”.

Registration Opening for “Web and Application Accessibility Workshop (2023)”
The Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) will hold the “Web and Application Accessibility Workshop (2023)” on 19th August this year. The purposes of this activity are to raise public awareness of web and application accessibility and encourage all sectors of the community to follow the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines” 2.1 AA-level standard, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), so that the relevant content can better meet the needs of users. The workshop is free and has 50 seats.

International platform showcases culinary glamour – exchange culminates in Macao for nearly half of Creative Cities of Gastronomy from worldwide
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) invited the representatives and chefs from 23 UNESCO Creative Cities of Gastronomy including Macao for familiarization, exchange and culinary demonstrations in Macao in the past three days. They participated in the City of Gastronomy Showcase and visited local wet markets and distinctive bazaars, besides joining internal meeting, which fostered preservation, innovation and exchange among Creative Cities of Gastronomy. Their exchange reinforced gastronomy as an impetus for the cities’ sustainable development and showed Macao’s strengths as an international exchange platform.

CCAC completes investigation of active bribery case by a PhD Student of University of Macau
The CCAC received a real-name report from a professor of the University of Macau, who claimed that his PhD student attempted to offer bribes with the intention that his thesis proposal to be submitted prior to thesis writing would be passed and he would graduate successfully.

Black Box Theatre of the Macao Cultural Centre inaugurated Expanding the performing platform for local young art practitioners
In order to provide a quality training and performance space for local young art practitioners and further promote the cultural and performing art development for the young, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym) initiated the design and layout planning of the Black Box Theatre of the Macao Cultural Centre in 2020, and the Black Box Theatre was completed this April. The opening ceremony was held today (3 July) and was officiated by the Chief Executive, Ho Iat Seng; the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ao Ieong U; the Chief of Office of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ho Ioc San; the President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Leong Wai Man; the Director of the Public Works Bureau, Lam Wai Hou; and the architect of the Black Box Theatre of the Macao Cultural Centre, António Bruno Soares. The Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng, accompanied by the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ao Ieong U, presided over the opening ceremony and announced the official opening of the Black Box Theatre of the Macao Cultural Centre.
