IAM clears and maintains sewers continuously before typhoon and rainy season to reduce risk of flooding
As the typhoon and rainy season is approaching, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) clears and maintains sewers continuously in various districts with a focus on stepping up inspections in areas susceptible to floods. IAM also continues to carry out inspections of food and beverage establishments and construction sites jointly with relevant departments in order to check the interception and filtration facilities and initiate prosecutions against violations of regulations. In times of adverse weather, IAM will initiate rainstorm emergency response mechanism and adopt a series of contingency measures to accelerate drainage of rainwater. IAM appeals to the society to jointly protect the drainage networks to safeguard the normal operation of the drains.

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the Tap Siac Craft Market in Spring is held from today to 27 April and from 1 to 4 May at Tap Siac Square, showcasing and selling cultural and creative products from Macao and Asian regions. A number of music performances and creative handicraft workshops are also held. All are welcome to participate.

IPIM’s Legal Affairs Division Relocating to the China-PSC Complex from 28 April
The Legal Affairs Division of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute will relocate to the first floor of the office building of the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries in Rua Sul de Entre Lagos, Macao, on April 28, 2025. From April 28, the relevant members of the public must go to the new address (China-PSC Complex) for services related to temporary residency applications. Press meeting with the cast of the stage production Life of Pi of the 35th Macao Arts Festival
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 35th Macao Arts Festival will kick off with the opening performance Life of Pi on 25 April (Friday). The opening ceremony will be held at 7:45pm on the same day in the lobby of the Macao Cultural Centre. The organiser held a press meeting at the Macao Cultural Centre today (23 April), in which the male protagonist Kashif Ghole (who plays young Pi), the Resident Puppetry and Movement Director Tom Stacy, the Resident Director Gabriella Bird, the puppet of the Bengal tiger, as well as the puppeteers Tom Norman, Jasmine Chiu and Kate Rowsell, met with the media to share their thoughts and present the highlights of the show. In the afternoon of the same day, the cast of the stage production also conducted a roadshow at the Ruins of St. Paul’s to liven up the atmosphere for the opening on Friday.
