Commemorative Envelope of “World Stamp Festival Stamp Show 2023”

“World Stamp Festival Stamp Show 2023” will be held in Tokyo, Japan, during 21st to 23rd April 2023. To commemorate this Exhibition, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the commemorative envelopes, and have authorized the local philatelic agent to officially represent and provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service on site of the exhibition.


External merchandise trade statistics for February 2023

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that total merchandise export amounted to MOP1.03 billion in February 2023, up by 2.3% year-on-year. Value of re-exports (MOP934 million) grew by 7.7%, of which re-exports of Articles for casino and Beauty, cosmetic & skincare products jumped by 262.0% and 134.5% respectively, while those of Diamond & diamond jewellery and Watches declined by 42.5% and 37.2% respectively. Value of domestic exports (MOP99 million) shrank by 30.3%, of which domestic exports of Garments and Copper & articles thereof tumbled by 45.9% and 42.8% respectively. Meanwhile, total merchandise import went up by 18.6% year-on-year to MOP12.39 billion; imports of Electronic components, Construction materials and Food & beverages surged by 213.6%, 124.3% and 94.8% respectively, whereas imports of Mobile phones and Beauty, cosmetic & skincare products reduced by 37.5% and 32.1% respectively. Merchandise trade deficit in February 2023 totalled MOP11.36 billion.


AACM President Pun Wa Kin's Inauguration

The Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) held the inauguration ceremony of President Pun Wa Kin at AACM office today, inaugurated by the Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Eng. Raimundo do Rosário, witnessed by the Acting Chief of the Cabinet of the Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Carlos Manuel Rangel Silvano Fernandes.


CE to attend Legislative Assembly session on 14 April

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, will attend a plenary session of the Legislative Assembly on 14 April to answer Legislative Assembly members’ questions on Government policy and social issues.





[Expand Business Opportunities Together] IPIM will accept applications from Macao enterprises to participate in the 6th CIIE from today (27)

In order to help local enterprises to seize development opportunities and “go global” to open up business markets, and further foster the moderate diversification of Macao’s economy, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will accept applications from Macao enterprises to participate in the “6th China International Import Expo” (CIIE) from 27 March to 11 April.


CE meets Portuguese Ambassador to China to strengthen cooperation ties

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, met with the Ambassador of Portugal to China, Mr Paulo Jorge Pereira do Nascimento, to discuss Macao’s platform role between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, strengthening economic and trade cooperation, and patrimony linked to Portuguese culture, and its conservation.


Cultural Affairs Bureau performs regular website maintenance on 31 March

In order to ensure the proper operation of its information technology system, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym)will perform regular maintenance on its website firewall from 8pm to 10pm on 31 March. Therefore, the operation of several websites will be temporarily suspended, including the Cultural Affairs Bureau website and its sub-websites, the websites of the Cultural Heritage of Macao, the Macao World Heritage, the Macao Conservatory, the Archives of Macao, the Macao Museum of Art, the Macao Museum, the Macao Cultural Centre, the Macao Cultural and Creative Industries and the arts and cultural festivals, among others. In addition, the Booking System for the use of Artistic and Cultural Spaces, the Filming Permit Application Platform,the Online Book Shopof the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Database for Macao Cultural and Creative Industries and the mobile application “WH Macau” will also be unavailable during the abovementioned period. The normal operation of the websites will resume once the maintenance work is completed.
