Tourist price index (TPI) for the 2nd quarter of 2022
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Tourist Price Index (TPI) for the second quarter of 2022 dropped by 1.77% year-on-year to 114.87. The decrease was mainly attributable to lower hotel room rates, as well as reduced prices of handbags and watches. Among the various sections of goods and services, price index of Accommodation fell markedly by 15.03% year-on-year, and the indices of Clothing & Footwear (-2.90%) and Transport & Communications (-2.50%) also registered a drop.

Postponement of new stamp issue of “Macanese Gastronomy”

Day-off rotation scheme for the staff at social service nursing homes under closed-loop management will be implemented soon
The Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) has been actively coordinating with the 36 subsidised social service facilities (nursing homes) under “Preventative Closed-loop Management Measures" in Macau to respond to the staff's aspirations for day-off rotation outside the closed-loop, seeking to implement day-off rotation scheme for the staff in the near future. In addition, the management entities of the nursing homes have decided or are actively considering providing additional salary, allowances and/or day-off for the closed-loop staff as an act of encouragement and appreciation for their efforts.

According to update from the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, new positive cases within 24 hours yesterday (12 July) include: 22 cases in the Red Code zones and medical observation hotels, which were detected under the management and control; 5 cases of close contacts, 4 cases in the Citywide NAT and Key Groups NAT, and 1 caseamong other population groups, which were found within the community.
