UM invites NPC deputies and CPPCC National Committee members to share core messages of 'Two Sessions' with faculty members and students
The University of Macau (UM) recently held a sharing session to deliver the core messages of the annual sessions of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) and the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) to faculty members and students to ensure a correct understanding of the messages among them. Speakers invited to share the key takeaways from the ‘Two Sessions’ included NPC deputies Chui Sai Peng and Vong Hin Fai, as well as CPPCC National Committee members Iau Teng Pio and Kou Kam Fai. The event attracted a full-house audience.

IAM enriches the southern waterfront to create “Star on Coast”
Leisure Area of Kun Iam Statue Waterfront has been very popular with the public and has received 800,000 visitors since its opening. The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) utilises the green space on the waterfront and continues to optimise the facilities and environment in the area of Leisure Area of Kun Iam Statue Waterfront to provide a more comfortable leisure activity space for the public and improve their quality of life. Recently, the functional layout and facilities in the area between Leisure Area of Kun Iam Statue Waterfront and Macao Science Center have been enhanced. Multiple landmarks in the area have been connected to radiate to the public activity space nearby and create a synergetic effect to establish “Star on Coast”, an integrated zone with multiple functions and elements, including children’s play, leisure and sport, food and beverage, arts and culture, science popularisation, etc.

Tickets for 33rd Macao Arts Festival on sale from Sunday
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 33rd Macao Arts Festival (MAF), themed “The Long Artistic Journey”, will be held from 28 April to 28 May, featuring 20 selected programmes covering theatre, opera, dance, music and the visual arts. Tickets will be on sale simultaneously through the Macau Ticketing Network outlets, telephone and online booking from 10am on 26 March (Sunday). The public is welcome to purchase tickets online or by telephone to facilitate the purchase process.

IFTM best in Asia and world’s top-10 for hospitality and leisure education, says QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023
The Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) has been rated in the freshly released QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 as one of the top-10 higher education institutions globally for hospitality and leisure management studies, being adjudged also the best in the whole of Asia in this field. It is the first time that a Macao higher education institution has reached such a high position in the rankings.
