2021 Annual Report of the CCAC of Macao published in Official Gazette
The 2021 Annual Report of the Commission Against Corruption of Macao was published in the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region today (3rd August). It is pointed out in the report that, in 2021, despite facing the recurrent and ever-changing outbreak of novel coronavirus, the CCAC sustained its effort in making progress on its work in an orderly manner with an aim to accomplish its different tasks with all-out efforts.

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre states that, as Macao has entered the stabilization period of epidemic prevention and control, the number of people using the quarantine station at the Community Treatment Centre (Hall C of Macao East Asian Games Dome) has been decreasing recently; for this reason, the quarantine station will cease operation at 22:00 today (2 August), and will resume service for sports activities after thorough cleaning and disinfection.

Promulgated on the Macao SAR Gazette on 1 August 2022, the Executive Order No. 139/2022 lifts the previous ban on operations of health clubs, karaoke lounges, bars and other leisure facilities as well as dine-in services at food and beverage establishments, which can resume from 2 August. Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) urges all establishments under its supervision to strictly follow the latest pandemic guidelines issued by Health Bureau, while the Office will beef up patrols during the stabilization period for pandemic prevention.

IAM to reopen all leisure and recreational facilities during “stabilisation period”
As Macao enters the “stabilisation period” starting from August 2, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will open all facilities, such as children’s playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment, barbecue areas, free sports grounds and indoor activity centers. Individuals using the facilities are required to follow the guidelines on hygiene and epidemic prevention, maintain proper social distancing and take adequate personal hygiene protection measures, so as to maintain the results of epidemic prevention while gradually resuming normal recreational activities.

IAM calls on public to continue to do shopping at off-peak hours during “stabilisation period” to consolidate results of epidemic prevention
As Macao enters the “stabilisation period” of epidemic prevention, various business activities are resumed in an orderly manner. The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) calls on the public and hawkers to cooperate with various epidemic prevention measures. The public should continue to go shopping in markets and hawker areas at off-peak hours, and wear masks and maintain proper social distancing in accordance with epidemic prevention guidelines when doing shopping, so as to jointly consolidate the results of epidemic prevention. IAM will step up inspections, cleaning and disinfection, as well as publicity about epidemic prevention in various markets and hawker areas.

Health Bureau updates “Mask Wearing Requirements” and “Measures to reduce the risk of transmission in workplaces during the stabilisation period of local epidemic”
According to the Chief Executive’s Dispatch No. 139/2022, the closure of beauty salons, gyms, bars and other venues, as well as the suspension of dine-in service in food and beverage establishments, will be lifted starting from tomorrow (2 August). To cooperate with the implementation of the above measures, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces the updates of the “Mask Wearing Requirements” and the “Measures to reduce the risk of transmission in workplaces during the stabilisation period of local epidemic” by the Health Bureau. From yesterday to 15:00 today, a cumulative total of 269,162 samples have been collected.
