Contemporary Circus An acrobatic welcome to springtime

The Cultural Affairs Bureau will present Knitting Peace, a contemporary circus conceived for teenagers and grownups alike, brought from Sweden by the avant-garde Cirkus Cirkör to Macao Cultural Centre’s Grand Auditorium, in two shows scheduled for 21 and 22 March (Friday and Saturday).


Supplements for Philatelic Album of Macao 2024

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will release the “Supplements for Philatelic Album of Macao 2024” on 24th January 2025, and they will be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of the General Post Office and the Communications Museum. The album pages are pre-printed with all the stamp images of 2024. Your collection of stamps and souvenir sheets of 2024 can be put into the pre-printed pages for convenient collection.


Package tours and hotel occupancy rate for December and the whole year of 2024

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that inbound package tour visitors totalled 2,103,000 in 2024, an uplift of 63.8% year-on-year. The average occupancy rate of guest rooms of hotel establishments rose by 4.9 percentage points year-on-year to 86.4%; number of guests increased by 6.4% to 14,433,000, and their average length of stay remained at 1.7 nights.


CE urges local Portuguese- and English-language news media to continue role of international communication

The local Portuguese- and English-language news media are one important embodiment of Macao’s multiculturalism and they should continue to function as a bridge for international communication in addition to their role as a watchdog on governance matters.





FDCT Holds Briefing Session for the 2025 Project Funding Program

To enhance understanding of the FDCT's 2025 funding programs among its target groups, the Fund for the Development of Science and Technology (FDCT) held a "Project Funding Program Briefing Session" on January 20. The session was chaired by Executive Committee Member Mr. Cheng Kuan Wai, with approximately 300 representatives from Macau's universities, scientific societies, and tech enterprises in attendance.



【Vigorous preparations】 MGTO welcomes Spring Festival Golden Week with various preparative measures and wonderful festivities

The Spring Festival Golden Week will begin next Tuesday (28 February) for a stretch of eight days (28 January – 4 February). Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has been carrying out a variety of preparative measures. While preparations are underway for upcoming mega festivities, the Office is conducting promotional initiatives among visitors through different channels. Besides holding meetings with the travel trade, MGTO conducts rigorous patrols with the interdepartmental workforce and maintains close communication with Mainland tourism authorities to safeguard tourism service quality. Vigorous efforts are made to welcome visitors to Macao during Chinese New Year and ride on major festivals to foster tourism and economic development.
