Five days correspondence delivery per week

As the economic development of Macao SAR progressed, in order to uphold the effective use of public resources. Starting from 1st of January 2023, the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will adjust the correspondence (including registered mail) delivery days from Monday to Friday, while EMS delivery days will be remain from Monday to Saturday.


Visitor arrivals for November 2022

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that visitor arrivals declined by 54.3% year-on-year and 36.8% month-on-month to 366,511 in November 2022, owing to the impact of the pandemic situation in the neighbouring regions. Overnight visitors (196,279) and same-day visitors (170,232) fell by 31.7% and 66.9% year-on-year respectively. Meanwhile, the average length of stay of visitors extended by 0.6 day year-on-year to 1.9 days; the duration for overnight visitors (3.5 days) increased by 0.1 day, whereas that for same-day visitors (0.1 day) remained unchanged.


Community outpatient clinics at Travessa Central da Praia Grande and Seac Pai Van temporary health station start operating today

In response to changes in the epidemic situation in Macao, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre continues to dynamically study and assess the locations of community outpatient clinics. It is hoped to facilitate residents to get medical treatment and balance their needs in daily life. On 21 December (Wednesday), the community outpatient clinic at Travessa Central da Praia Grande (near Grand Emperor Hotel) is brought into operation. And besides, a new community outpatient clinic will be set up at Seac Pai Van temporary health station on the same date to meet the needs of outlying island residents.


IFTM online training programme in collaboration with UNWTO Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism through the Meetings Industry

The Global Centre of Tourism Education and Training of the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM), in collaboration with United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), successfully held virtually its fourteenth training programme on 5 – 7 Dec 2022 on “Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism through the Meetings Industry”.


Assets and interests declaration service of CCAC suspends during lunch hours

Due to the change in the novel coronavirus epidemic situations and adjustment of manpower, the Declaration of Assets and Interests Division of the CCAC suspends its service to the public during lunch hours (1:00pm-2:30pm) from today (21st December) until 30th December.


CE thanks Central Government for launching “Northbound Travel for Macao Vehicles” policy

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, sincerely thanked the Central Government for launching today a control mechanism enabling motor vehicles with only a Macao registration plate to enter mainland China (the “Northbound Travel for Macao Vehicles” policy).

CE to visit Beijing for four-day duty visit

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, will visit Beijing from 21 to 24 December, to report to state leaders on the Government work done past year and on the policy blueprint for next year.


Government announces 2022 Decorations, Medals, and Certificates of Merit

The Government has today announced the list of Decorations, Medals, and Certificates of Merit awarded for 2022 by the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR). There are 26 recipients, either individuals or organisations, in recognition of respectively, achievement, outstanding contribution, and distinguished service.
