Ká Hó Height Barbecue Park temporarily closed for repair and enhancement works

To optimise the barbecue area of the Ká Hó Height Barbecue Park and to install additional children’s play facilities, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will carry out the maintenance and enhancement works from 10 October, closing relevant areas during the construction period.


Airport conducts fuel farm exercise

Macau International Airport carried out the “Fire in the Fuel Farm Exercise 2022” in today’s afternoon to simulate the fire incident in the fuel farm tank. All participating entities cooperated closely with each other in accordance with the airport emergency plan to resolve the crisis. The exercise was deemed a success.


Residential property price index for June – August 2022

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for June - August 2022 decreased by 1.4% over the previous period (May - July 2022) to 254.8. The indices for the Macao Peninsula (255.1) and Taipa & Coloane (253.9) dropped by 1.6% and 0.2% respectively.


206 Temporary Residency Applications Handled in the First Half of 2022

In the first half of 2022, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute has handled 206 temporary residency applications for "Investors, Managerial Personnel and Professionals with Special Qualifications". Among them, there were 189 renewal applications, 8 applications for residency extension to family dependent, and 9 new applications.


Museum of Sacred Art and Crypt and Treasure of Sacred Art of St. Dominic’s Church will close temporarily for maintenance

The Cultural Affairs Bureau will carry out maintenance work at the Museum of Sacred Art and Crypt and the Treasure of Sacred Art of St. Dominic’s Church in October.


Macao receives four awards at PATA Gold Awards 2022 ceremony held today (October 7)

Macao was awarded with one Grand Award and three Gold Awards at the PATA Gold Awards 2022, organized by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). Among the local awardees, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) received a PATA Gold Award in Marketing Campaign for its Macao Week promotion conducted in Mainland China, while the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies, Wynn Macau and Sands China were bestowed with awards for initiatives in different areas of Sustainability and Social Responsibility.


Registration for 2022 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon starts this weekend

The 2022 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon, jointly organized by the Sports Bureau and the General Association of Athletics of Macau, and title-sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group, will be held on 4 December. Registration will be open from 9:00 a.m. on 8 October (Saturday) for the marathon and half-marathon categories, and from 9:00 a.m. on 9 October (Sunday) for the mini-marathon category. Places available for this year’s event include 1,400 for marathon, 4,800 for half-marathon and 5,800 for mini-marathon. Registration will be closed when all places are filled.


MPU Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies Held the Seminars to Discuss Strategies to Expand International Tourist Market

The Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies of the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) recently held the Asian Gaming Markets Seminar Series. The Series focused on the future development direction of the Macao gaming industry by exploring the competitive situation of Asian gaming and discussing the city’s software and hardware requirements for Macao to expand its overseas tourist base. Two lecture sessions were delivered by Mr. Andrew Scott, Vice Chairman and CEO of Inside Asian Gaming, and Mr. Jun Fu, a senior architectural designer, both of whom possess rich experience in the field of integrated resort development across Asia.



Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “27th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair”

To celebrate the 27th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at Venetian Macao Convention & Exhibition Centre and at our Philatelic Shop of General Post Office, during 20th to 22nd October 2022 to provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “27th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair”.
