CE pledges utmost effort to curb outbreak, protecting health of the public

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, today reassured the Macao public that the current infection outbreak was still under control. Supplies of day-to-day produce were being increased steadily. Mr Ho urged the public not to rush to resupply their stocks.

Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces launching of Hall C of “COVID-19 Community Treatment Centre”

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that, in order to respond to the quarantine demand, and expand the service capacity of quarantine station, in accordance with the “Contingency Plan for Large-scale COVID-19 Epidemic”', Pac On Temporary Quarantine Station will be suspended from 6:00 am on 24 June, and Hall C of the “COVID-19 Community Treatment Centre” located in the Macau East Asian Games Dome will be put into operation simultaneously.


Gaming concessions and sub-concessions extended to 31 December 2022

The Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) has approved applications by the three existing gaming concessionaires and their three sub-concessionaires, regarding extension of their licence contracts for the operation of games of fortune to 31 December 2022 inclusive.


Postponement of 10th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo

Impacted by the pandemic situation and in parallel with the Macao SAR Government's latest endeavors to contain the pandemic, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced the postponement of the 10th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE), originally slated to take place from 8 – 10 July.




IAM finds no abnormalities in re-tests on cold-chain aquatic products imported from India

The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China announced on 23 June that a sample of the packaging of frozen aquatic products imported from an enterprise manufacturing aquatic products in India with registration number 1141 tested positive in novel coronavirus nucleic acid tests. In view of this, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has immediately adopted measures such as source tracing and investigation of the products of the involved enterprise. At the same time, local businesses have been requested to immediately seal the products sourced from the involved enterprise. Samples have been collected again for re-tests and no abnormalities have been found in the results. Meanwhile, IAM immediately suspended the import applications of the products of the involved enterprise from today onwards.
