MPU Publishes Vol. 52 of Journal of One Country Two Systems Studies

The new issue of the Journal of One Country Two Systems Studies (Vol. 52) edited by the “One Country Two Systems” Research Centre of MPU has just been published. There are 11 articles in this issue. The Journal of One Country Two Systems Studies aims at giving the public an insight into the “One Country, Two Systems” policy and establishing an academic platform for the study of “One Country, Two Systems”. Local and overseas scholars are welcome to contribute to the journal so as to enhance academic cooperation and exchanges.


2025 MGM Macao International Regatta kicks off today

The 2025 MGM Macao International Regatta, organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, MGM, and Ursa Major Sailing Event Management, co-organized by the Marine and Water Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Macau Sailing Association, supported by the Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and partnered with the World Match Racing Tour (WMRT), commenced today (January 8) until January 12.


UTM to hold 2025 Open Day this Saturday, showcasing its diversified programmes

As the registration for the Joint Admission Examination for Macao Four Higher Education Institutions starts, the Macao University of Tourism (UTM) will holdits 2025 Open Day on 11 January from 2pm to 6pm at the Mong-Há Campus. Through various activities, UTM welcomes the public, especially secondary school students and their parents, to learn about the latest admission information and programme characteristics, offering a glimpse into campus life and culture.


CE expresses sorrow regarding those affected by Tibet earthquake

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, today sent a letter to the Tibet authorities expressing his profound sorrow regarding those affected by the earthquake that occurred in Tibet Autonomous Region’s city of Xigaze, Dingri county, in the morning.


2025 MGM Macao International Regatta to take place over five days starting tomorrow (January 8)

CE to visit Guangzhou for Guangdong-Macao Cooperation Joint Conference

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, will on Thursday (9 January) lead a Government delegation to Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, to attend the Guangdong-Macao Cooperation Joint Conference 2025.



Residential property price Index for September – November 2024

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for September - November 2024 was 206.5, down by 1.7% over the previous period (August - October 2024). The indices for the Macao Peninsula (200.8) and Taipa & Coloane (229.1) dropped by 2% and 0.8% respectively.


UM students win awards at 3rd Chinese-Portuguese Translation Contest for Higher Education Institutions in China

The finals of the 3rd Chinese-Portuguese Translation Contest for Higher Education Institutions in China were held concurrently at the University of Macau (UM) and Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Jointly organised by UM’s Chinese-Portuguese Bilingual Teaching and Training Centre and BFSU’s School of Hispanic and Portuguese Studies, the contest aims to promote exchanges in Portuguese language teaching between universities in Macao and mainland China, encourage students in Portuguese studies to gain practical experience in Chinese-Portuguese translation, and identify high-quality Chinese-Portuguese bilingual talent.


DSEC continues to enhance website functionality to improve user experience

The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) continues to enhance the functionality of its website by introducing the “Statistical Concepts Database” and enriching the content of the “Statistical Geographic Information System (GIS)”, with the aim of improving data accessibility and user experience.
