The 2^nd Galaxy Entertainment Group Macao International Shorts Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as the “Macao International Shorts Film Festival”), jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), is held from 14 to 21 September. The event includes an opening ceremony and screenings, screening sessions, professional forums, thematic workshops, “In Conversation with Director” sessions and a closing and awards ceremony, presenting over 60 outstanding local and international short films, and offering audiences a diverse cinematic experience.

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “Art Exhibition for All”, integrated in the 23^rd Macao City Fringe Festival, was inaugurated today (16 September) at the Flower City Park in Taipa. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Department of Performing Arts Development, Kuok Mio U; the Head of the Division of Performing Arts of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Chan Shuk Mei; and representatives of art groups participating in this year’s Fringe Festival. A range of programmes are staged in various districts, upholding the concept of “All around the city, our stages, our patrons, our artists”, while introducing audiences diverse artistic experience.

The “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2025” presents more than 30 exhibitions in six sections, namely the “Main Exhibition”, “Public Art Exhibition”, “City Pavilion”, “Special Exhibition”, “Local Curatorial Project” and various “Collateral Exhibition”. Among the highlights are the City Pavilions representing China and Portugal. The Pavilion of Portugal, “Pavilion of Vila Franca de Xira: The Reinvention of the Real - Portuguese Contemporary Art in the Museum of Neo-Realism Collection”, is currently open to the public at the Tap Seac Gallery. Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for May - July 2025 was 194.0, down by 1.1% over the previous period (April - June 2025). The index for existing residential units (208.9) decreased by 2.1%, while that for pre-sale residential units (232.8) went up by 8.3% on account of the launch of new properties during the reference period.

This Universal Postal Union Congress was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from September 7^th to 20^th, 2025. The meeting adopted a hybrid format combining online and in-person participation, with representatives from over 140 member countries in attendance. The Chinese delegation comprised representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Embassy of China in the UAE, Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva, State Post Bureau, China Post Group Corporation, Hongkong Post, and Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau. Mr. Zhao Chongjiu, Director-General of the State Post Bureau, served as head of the delegation. Mr. Wang Jian, Vice President of China Post Group Corporation Limited; Ms. Leonia Tai, Postmaster General of Hong Kong Post; and Ms. Lau Wai Meng, Director of the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau, served as deputy heads of delegation.

The construction works for pumping station and box culvert carried out by the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) in phases were completed, and the acceptance inspections, adjustments and trials are currently carried out to achieve the best operation results. IAM believes that after the pumping station has officially entered into operation, the flooding caused by heavy rain in Fai Chi Kei district and Lam Mau district can be alleviated.
