MUR discusses Iao Hon local area development with Women's General Association of Macau
Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) recently visited the Women’sGeneral Associationof Macau and was given a warm welcome by the association’s chairperson Lau Kam Ling. MUR gave a presentation on the local area development plan for Iao Hon Estate in detail, and by rebuilding one block at a time, priority to redevelopment would be given to the block of flat that has a sufficient number of property owners’ consent. MUR is currently assisting property owners of Son Lei House to formally set up an owners’ association and make all necessary preparations for redevelopment.

Macao Chinese Orchestra presents Family Musical Theatre Concert offering a fantastic musical journey
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and coordinated by the Macao Orchestra Company, Limited, the family musical theatre concert “Musical Magic Wand – Looking for the Beautiful Gem of the Winds” will be held on 29 May (Sunday), at 4pm, at the Broadway Theatre, Broadway Macau, featuring the resident conductor of Shanxi Provincial Sing and Dance Theatre, Guo Ming. Tickets are now available through the Macau Ticketing Network.

DSI launches Macao SAR travel documents application service in “Macao One Account”
The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) has been continuously developing identification-related electronic services. In light of the new function “My Photo” added to the “Common Access to Public Services of the Macao SAR” (hereinafter called “Macao One Account”), starting from 26th May 2022, DSI will launch the Macao Special Administrative Region (Macao SAR) travel document application service on the “Macao One Account” mobile application, making it possible for citizens to have their documents done “in one visit”.

Operation of shuttle bus service for temporary Almirante Lacerda Municipal Market extended for two months
Since the commencement of operation, the free shuttle bus service between the temporary Almirante Lacerda Municipal Market and the Horta e Costa district has been well received by the public. After assessment, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has decided to extend the service to the end of July so as to continue to provide the public with convenient access to the temporary Almirante Lacerda Municipal Market. IAM will continuously evaluate the effectiveness and make arrangements depending on the operation conditions.

Announcement of the 40th Macao Young Musicians Competition schedule
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 40th Macao Young Musicians Competition, dedicated to the category of Chinese and Western music, attracted the registration of more than 1,000 participants, recording an increase of 60% when compared to previous editions. The provisional competition schedule is now available on the Macao Young Musicians Competition website (www.icm.gov.mo/cjmm).

“2022 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair” offers discounted participation fee
The “2022 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair” (2022 GMBPF), jointly organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, will be held at Hall A, the Venetian Macao from 29 to 31 July. To keep strengthening the co-operation between Guangdong and Macao and to help enterprises promote their brands, in light of the epidemic situation, 2022 GMBPF will continue to encourage eligible local SMEs to participate in the Fair this year at a special price of MOP 680. Companies interested in joining the event are welcome to register from today to 2 June.

Health statistics 2021
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the 4 hospitals in Macao provided a total of 1,744 inpatient beds in 2021, an increase of 29 year-on-year. Number of inpatients grew by 7.5% to 58,000, and the average hospital stay rose by 0.1 day to 7.7 days. With a lengthened hospital stay, the occupancy rate of inpatient beds went up by 4.5 percentage points to 70.7%.
