Nucleic acid ‘negative’ test result issued no more than 24 hours earlier to be required in order to leave Macao

Individuals wishing to enter any boundary crossing checkpoint building in Macao, intending to leave the city, will after the stroke of midnight on 6 October be required to present a nucleic acid test certificate – issued within 24 hours of intended departure – proving they are ‘negative’ for COVID-19 infection.

MGTO maintains limited service during work exemption for civil servants

In line with pandemic prevention measures, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) maintains limited service during the period when civil servants are exempt from work from 5 – 7 October, with arrangements as follows:

IPIM’s Public Service Arrangement during the Period of Exemption from Work

Due to the latest situation of COVID-19 in Macao, in an effort to reduce transmission risk, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will maintain only basic operation and public services from 5 to 7 October 2021 pursuant to Chief Executive Dispatch No 110/CE/2021. Citizens are advised to make reservation online, enquire by phone or email before coming to IPIM in person. In the meantime, the Portuguese-speaking Countries Food Exhibition Centre under IPIM will be temporarily closed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Certain recreational facilities closed from 6 October

To prevent the risk of spreading COVID-19 in the community, certain recreational facilities will be closed after the stroke of midnight on 6 October 2021, according to Executive Order No. 143/2021, published today.


Arrangement of PJ's public services in the period civil servants are exempted from work between 5th and 7th of October

To fully support the SAR government's efforts in tackling the epidemic and to ensure public safety, the Judiciary Police will deploy officers to assist anti-epidemic work, increase patrol, as well as strengthen crime prevention.

Public services of the Education and Youth Development Bureau are suspended

To tie in with the epidemic prevention work of the SAR Government and reduce the risk of transmission, public services at the headquarters of the Education and Youth Development Bureau are suspended from 5 to 7 October 2021, during the work exemption period of public departments. In addition, all centres under the DSEDJ, the Youth Educational Base with the Theme of Loving the Motherland and Macao, the Pavilion of Patriotism, youth hostels, the Art Exhibition Pavilion for the Youth, the gymnasium of Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional, all study rooms and school opening facilities will remain closed until further notice.
