IPIM Organises Webinar to Facilitate Macao’s Development into a Sustainable MICE Destination

Sustainability of the overall local environment is an important consideration for organisers in selecting destinations for holding MICE events. And for this reason, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) hosted a webinar on “Creating a Sustainable MICE Destination” on 29 July.


Two vehicles inspection centers of DSAT will be resumed on 9th August

The Transport Bureau has assessed that it will resume normal operation of the Motor Vehicles Inspection Center in Cotai and Motorcycle Inspection Centre (in the Macao peninsula) on Monday, 9th August, while other external services will remain suspended until further announcement.


Persons with yellow health code despite having submitted to COVID-19 mass testing should get tested again on their own or register for follow-up as appropriate

In response to the inquiries from some members of the public that they still received a yellow health code after having completed testing for the Citywide Nucleic Acid Testing Program, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as “the Centre”) said that participants of the community testing drive are required to register with either their Macao Resident Identity Card (for Macao residents) or the travel document that was used for entry into Macao (for non-Macao residents). The presence of yellow health code may be due to wrong identity document used in registration for the testing campaign, e.g. registration was done using Non-Resident Worker’s Identity Card (blue card), Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or others. In this case, the persons concerned need to undergo testing again on their own at one of the routine nucleic acid testing stations.


Population Census Officially Launched Active Online Responses on First Day

The 2021 Population Census commenced yesterday (7 Aug). In view of the latest development of the pandemic, the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) has immediately adjusted data collection arrangements and suspended door-to-door visits by Census officers. Online data collection is fully implemented, and residents are encouraged to complete the Census through contactless means.


All specimens in citywide testing program proved negative

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that, a cumulative total of 614,465 people have been sampled under the Citywide Nucleic Acid Testing Program, combined with another 101,786 people who underwent the test on their own outside the citywide testing program since 3 August, a total of 716,251 people have completed testing.


Over 680,000 persons tested negative in citywide testing program

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that, as of 21:00 tonight (7 August), a cumulative total of 614,465 people have been sampled under the Citywide Nucleic Acid Testing Program, combined with another 101,786 people who underwent the test on their own outside the citywide testing program since 3 August, a total of 716,251 people have completed testing, of which 685,350 test results have been confirmed, accounting for 96%, and all of them were negative.

According to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centrea cumulative total of 614,465 people have been sampled under the Citywide Nucleic Acid Testing Programme, and a total of 452,156 specimens collected therefrom have been tested, all returned negative. Besides, since 3 August 2021, 101,786 people went for testing on their own and are not included in the citywide testing, that is, a total of 716,251 people have completed testing, of which the 553,942 specimens tested have been confirmed as negative.
