Residents urged to cooperate with Government's epidemic control measures

The Macao SAR Government enacted immediately a district- and risk-specific epidemic prevention and control mechanism, after the recent identification of new COVID-19 cases in the city. A closed-loop management system has now been imposed in the infection control zones in a bid to promptly limit the spread of the disease in the community, and in order to ensure free movement of people between Macao and mainland China is unaffected.

Citywide nucleic acid testing improved continuously

Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre expressed that, with an aim to enhance the citywide nucleic acid testing drive, the Centre has persisted in optimising the appointment system, fortifying capacity management at all sampling stations, diverting queuing residents, providing support to the elders and disabled, as well as acquainting members of the public with information about real-time booking and queuing situation; the Centre is making every effort to improve the crowd management of the community testing drive, and further shorten the waiting times.

Judiciary Police urges the public not to believe or forward any unconfirmed messages regarding the pandemic

Some people were seen in protective clothing, knocking on doors and offering to sterilise residents’ apartments, according to an online post discovered by the Judiciary Police. Those people are believed to disguise as staff of the disease control centre with the aim to commit fraud or other crimes.
