Cancellation of CE’s question-and-answer session at Legislative Assembly

The Chief Executive’s question-and-answer session at the Legislative Assembly which scheduled to be held on 10 August, has been cancelled, due to local epidemic-relation situation and for safety and health of those attending the session.


Venues and school facilities under the DSEDJ which were open for public use are temporarily closed

To comply with the SAR government’s epidemic control work, the DSEDJ has announced that all of its centers, “Love the Country, Love Macao Educational Base for the Youth”, “Pavilion of Patriotism”, youth hostels, the sport stadium of Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional, study rooms and school facilities that are open for public use, are temporarily closed from 4th August onwards until further notice. The DSEDJ will pay close attention to the epidemic development and make respective arrangements in due course. We appreciate the public's understanding and collaboration.


Payment Card and Mobile Payment Statistics – 2nd Quarter 2021

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, the total number of personal credit cards and debit cards issued by banks in Macao increased in the second quarter of 2021. Both the credit card and debit card turnover witnessed quarterly decreases. On the other hand, the number and value of transactions of local mobile payment tools continued to rise quarter-to-quarter.

530k tested for COVID-19

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that, as of 8 a.m. today (6 August), a total of about 530,000 people have been sampled under the Citywide Nucleic Acid Testing Programme, and a total of around 210,000 specimens collected under the programme have been tested, all negative. Untested residents are appealed to make an appointment and get tested as soon as possible.
