Oropharyngeal sampling now available at all testing stations

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that,regardingthe citywide nucleic acid testing programme, oropharyngeal samplinghas been made availableatall testing stations across the city besides the one at Pac On Ferry Terminal. Members of the publiccanopt fororopharyngeal sampling according to their own circumstances; however,individualschoosing throat swab sampling may experience a longer waiting time as this sampling method is only performed at specific sampling booth(s) in each testing station.

Quota for citywide nucleic acid testing increased significantly The public are appealed to take the test promptly tonight

Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre expressed that, the total daily quota for citywide testing has been increased to 372,360. At present, sufficient quota is available in all sampling stations, untested residents are urged make appointment as soon as possible and take the test tonight.

Government thanks Guangdong for assisting in community-wide nucleic acid testing

The Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government has expressed sincere gratitude to the Guangdong Government for the latter’s strong support in organising at utmost speed a team of 300 technicians, dispatched to Macao to assist the city’s community-wide nucleic acid testing programme.


Ferry services between Macao and Guangdong Province suspended temporarily

In response to the prevention and control of COVID-19, ferry services between Macao and Guangdong Province have been suspended temporarily until further notice. DSAMA has urged ferry operators to announce relevant information via various channels, including releasing information on their websites and putting up notices at ferry terminals. They are also required to properly handle pre-sale ticket refunds.
