UM and CMG Asia-Pacific headquarters to launch collaboration in multiple areas

A ceremony for deepening the strategic partnership between China Media Group (CMG) and the government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) was held today (18 July). The event was co-organised by CMG and the Macao SAR government, and was hosted by TDM, CMG’s Asia-Pacific headquarters, and the University of Macau (UM). One of the agendas of the ceremony was the signing of a strategic partnership framework agreement between UM and CMG’s Asia-Pacific headquarters. Macao SAR Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng delivered a speech at the ceremony, in which he said that the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between CMG’s Asia-Pacific headquarters and UM would surely provide a bigger platform for higher education institutions in Macao to enhance their academic programmes in communication and to train more professionals in the field.


CE: Close collaboration with China Media Group to help promote ‘One country, two systems’

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, said today the Government would step up collaboration with China Media Group in order to promote further Macao’s image and unique culture to the world, and to showcase the city’s successful implementation of the “One country, two systems” principle with Macao characteristics.

Hong Kong national security law an important reference for Macao

Implementation of the national security law in Hong Kong carried great significance to Macao as an important reference point for the city, said today the Secretary for Security, Mr Wong Sio Chak.


“The 13th Higher Education International Conference” of MPI and APQN is Now Calling for Paper Submissions

To strengthen the cooperation between Macao and higher education institutions from overseas, and continue to improve the quality of teaching and learning in higher education, the Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) and the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) are jointly organising “The 13th Higher Education International Conference on Education Innovation and Teaching Quality Assurance in the Post-Pandemic Era”. The conference focuses on the challenges and future opportunities for higher education of education innovation, as well as teaching and learning quality assurance in the post-pandemic era. The conference calls for papers from now to 16th September. Higher education experts and scholars from Macao and all over the world are welcome to take part in and publish papers in fields related to the conference theme.


Census training commenced to provide staff with professional skills and knowledge

The decennial Population Census will begin next month, which covers all residential, industrial and commercial units in Macao. To ensure that this large Census operation is conducted efficiently and effectively, the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) recruited over 2,000 temporary workers to assist in data collection, and launched a series of training to equip the staff with the required knowledge and skills.


Grass skiing ground in Taipa Grande Natural Park reopens after completion of improvement works

To increase the safety and fun of using the grass skiing ground in Taipa Grande Natural Park, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has completed the improvement works of the venue and it is reopened. The public are welcome to bring their children to the venue to play.
