The FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League Macao 2019 will be held in May

FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League Macao 2019, authorized by the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (“FIVB”) and jointly organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Volleyball Association of Macao, China, will be held from May 28 to 30 (Tuesday to Thursday) at the Macao Forum. The four participating teams—China, Belgium, Korea and Thailand— will strive for the best ranking in the league in Macao. The organizer held a press conference today (April 3) to introduce the details of the competition. Galaxy Entertainment Group is the official sponsor of the event.


Civil defence exercise to review preparedness ahead of typhoon season

A civil defence exercise to be held on 27 April seeks to optimise – with reference also to experience drawn from a similar exercise held last year – how an evacuation plan for low-lying areas would operate in case of storm surges during typhoon periods.


Consumer Council released 3rd supermarket price survey report of the current month

The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the first-half of April on 10 April for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 10 supermarkets in Santo António Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.

The upcoming National Security Education Exhibition will incorporate fresh elements relative to previous editions, offering a new perspective for understanding national security and its importance in relation to regional safety and the safety of each individual.


“HUSH!! Full Music” held at the end of April delivering diverse music experience

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and co-organised by the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Marine and Water Bureau, the beach concert “HUSH!! Full Music” will be staged at Hac Sa Beach from 28 April to 1 May (Sunday to Wednesday), where an array of singers and music bands from Macao and different countries and regions will deliver a marathon music feast. This year’s concert will feature three special stages, including an exclusive stage dedicated to local young music bands. A variety of hush! branded products by local cultural and creative entities will be presented in the booths, and the event will continue to hold music workshops, a short video competition, a handicraft market and campus music promotion. Admission to all activities is free and residents are welcome to participate.



“Photo-Scripts – Photography Exhibition by João Miguel Barros”Opens on Friday

“Photo-Scripts – Photography Exhibition by João Miguel Barros”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be inaugurated on 12 April (Friday) at 6:30pm at the Macao Contemporary Art Centre – Navy Yard No.1. The exhibition showcases 12 black-and-white photos/sets by João Miguel Barros. All are welcome to visit.
