AACM publishes the final report of the Beijing Capital Airlines incident
The Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM) has concluded the final report for the investigation of the Beijing Capital Airlines incident which took place in Macau International Airport last August. The final report states the contributing factors and the safety recommendations addressed to both the airport and the concerned airline to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Registrations for short video competition “HUSH!! 300 Seconds” now open
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and co-organised by the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Marine and Water Bureau, the beach concert “HUSH!! Full Music” will be staged at Hac Sa Beach from 28 April to 1 May, where singers and musical bands from Macao and different regions and countries will present a large-scale music gala. The short video competition “HUSH!! 300 Seconds” will be held again this year and all are welcome to participate.

UM holds Language and Culture Day to promote multilingualism
The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) recently held the Second UM Language and Culture Day. Themed ‘Value Your Own Language; Embrace Others’ Cultures’, this year’s event featured a variety of activities, including an international language and culture fair, cultural performances, and language workshops. Some students say that the event provided a platform for people from different cultural backgrounds to share their languages and cultures with one another.

UM’s new DBA programme now open for applications
The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) will launch a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme in the 2019/2020 academic year. The programme aims to nurture business leaders who have a clear understanding of the ever-changing business environment and who can help businesses to seize the opportunities and meet the challenges in an increasingly globalised environment. It places equal emphasis on academic applications and management practices to help students strengthen international business knowledge and research capabilities. The programme is now open for applications until mid-July this year.
