Macao Pavilion is Well Received at CIIE; Entrepreneur Delegation Gains Insights to Boost “1+4” Industries

The "7th China International Import Expo" opened to the public yesterday (6 Nov), with the Macao Special Administrative Region's Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) setting up the "Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries Food and Beverage Pavilion" and the "Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries Professional Service Pavilion," both attracting significant foot traffic. Secretary for Economy and Finance Lei Wei Nong visited the two pavilions to inspect the situation and meet with the Macao entrepreneur delegation and participating businesses.



DSI online services and self-service kiosks will be suspended for 4 hours on this Sunday due to system upgrade

The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) will conduct system upgrade on 10th November (Sunday) from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. DSI online services, self-service kiosks for identification document application, self-service kiosks for identification document collection, and integrated self-service kiosks will be suspended at that time.



Mobile payment and payment card statistics – 3rd Quarter 2024

According to statistics released today (7 November) by the Monetary Authority of Macao, in the third quarter of 2024, the number and the value of transactions of local mobile payment tools both witnessed growth on a quarterly basis. Concurrently, the credit card turnover increased whereas the debit card turnover decreased from the preceding quarter.


Residential property price index for the third quarter of 2024

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index was 211.0 in the third quarter of 2024, down by 3.6% quarter-on-quarter; the indices for the Macao Peninsula (206.7) and Taipa & Coloane (228.2) dropped by 4.1% and 1.4% respectively. The index for existing residential units (226.7) and pre-sale residential units (272.7) reduced by 4.2% and 0.3% respectively.


Results of visitor expenditure survey for the first three quarters of 2024

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that total spending of visitors (excluding gaming expenses) went up by 8% year-on-year to MOP56.21 billion in the first three quarters of 2024, mainly driven by a substantial increase (+30.1%) in the number of visitor arrivals. Total spending of overnight visitors (MOP46.03 billion) and same-day visitors (MOP10.18 billion) grew by 5.1% and 22.9% year-on-year respectively. In comparison with the first three quarters of 2019, total spending of visitors recorded an uplift of 17.5%.




Commemorative Envelope of“China 2024 Asian International Stamp Exhibition”

“China 2024 Asian International Stamp Exhibition” will be held in Shanghai, China from 29th November to 3rd December 2024. To commemorate this Exhibition, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the commemorative envelopes and provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service on site of the exhibition.
