【Grand opening】“Hubei•Wuhan Macao Week” showcases colorful “tourism +” to reinforce Mainland market and boost visitations

The mega roadshow “Hubei•Wuhan Macao Week” was grandly unveiled at Wuhan Customs House Square in Wuhan today (5 September). The four-day roadshow showcases Macao’s vibrant scene of “tourism +” to Hubei residents, energizing their intent to visit Macao.


Portuguese Prime Minister to visit Macao

The Portuguese Prime Minister, Mr Luís Montenegro, will, from 9 to 10 September, visit Macao as part of his official visit to China, at the invitation of Premier of the State Council, Mr Li Qiang.


CE meets Chairman of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, today met with the Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), Mr Zhang Yuzhuo, to discuss continued support from central and state-owned enterprises for Macao’s appropriate economic diversification, the development of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, and the strengthening of Macao’s role as a commercial platform serving China and Portuguese-speaking countries.


CE meets Minister of Culture and Tourism

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, today in Beijing met with the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr Sun Yeli. They exchanged views on promoting traditional Chinese culture, enhancing international cultural exchanges by making use of Macao’s role as a multiple-culture exchange and cooperation base with an emphasis on Chinese culture, and advancing high-quality cultural tourism development.


CE sends message of sympathy to Portuguese President over Lisbon funicular accident

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, sent a message of sympathy to the President of the Portuguese Republic, Mr Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, expressing his deepest sorrow at the derailment of the Gloria funicular in Lisbon.




General Ye Ting’s Former Residence temporarily closed to the public from 11 September

In conjunction with the enhancement works of the exhibition, the General Ye Ting’s Former Residence will be temporarily closed to the public from 11 September (Thursday). The mentioned works are expected to be completed at the end of September, and the reopening date of the venue will be announced in due course. In commemoration of the birth of General Ye Ting, the General Ye Ting’s Former Residence will open to the public on 10 September (Wednesday).
