Nearly 100 Participants Attend the First “Portuguese-Speaking Countries Business Opportunities Promotion Seminar – Equatorial Guinea” Held by IPIM
In order to further enhance Macao’s role as the China-PSC platform and assist enterprises in capturing business opportunities in Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs), the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has rolled out the “Portuguese-Speaking Countries Business Opportunities Series” for this year, inviting representatives from PSCs to the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) to introduce the business environment, investment opportunities, advantageous industries and signature products of the nine PSCs to enterprises already engaged in or interested in exploring the PSCs market.

Macao Orchestra presents the concert “The Rite of Spring” with French Piano Virtuoso Jean-Yves Thibaudet reviving Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 5
Presented by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Macao Orchestra Company, Limited, and Wynn, the concert “The Rite of Spring” will be held on 19 April (Saturday) at 8pm, at the Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium. French piano virtuoso Jean-Yves Thibaudet will visit Macao and collaborate with the Macao Orchestra and its Music Director and Principal Conductor Lio Kuok Man for the first time, to perform Camille Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 5 “The Egyptian”. The programme also includes the work The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky, considered one of the most significant compositions of the early 20th century and recognised for its grand orchestration and innovative style. On this occasion, the Macao Orchestra will present this masterpiece with a line-up of over one hundred musicians, offering the audience an intense and breath-taking experience.

2025MIECF Facilitates Nearly 450 Matching Sessions and Settlement of Eight Enterprises in Macao
The 2025 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (2025MIECF) came to a successful conclusion yesterday (29 March) at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao after three days of activities. Nearly 450 business matching sessions took place during the event, facilitating the signing of more than 50 project agreements at the Protocol Signing Ceremony. In addition, eight enterprises established an official presence in the Macao market during the exhibition.

2025MIECF: “Debut@Macao – Project Launch x Innovation Matching Session” Facilitates 65 Business Discussions and Establishes Leading Platform for Green Debut Projects
The 2025 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (2025MIECF) celebrated its grand opening today (27 March). During the three-day event, five themed matching sessions will be organised, focusing on debut projects, international green and low-carbon development, environmentally friendly project matching for public institutions from Macao and Hengqin, supply and demand of green buildings, and collaboration and exchanges among integrated tourism and leisure enterprise. The matching sessions held on the opening day attracted many enterprises and organisations, with 65 business discussions arranged.

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, today met with Member of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Mr Shang Kui. The two sides exchanged views on topics such as leveraging Macao’s role as an external exchange platform, and enhancing cooperation between Macao and Chongqing in various aspects.
